Nikon Coolpix 4300, 4500, 5000, Digital Camera Attachment for MC Fieldscope Eyepieces

This Nikon Digital Camera Attachment Kit will allow you to attach your Nikon Digital Camera to the Nikon Fieldscope, in order to photograph using the Fieldscope as a lens to record super-telephoto images. In addition to the attachment Kit, you will need a Specific Digital Camera adapter for the Coolpix Digital Camera model you will be using.

When using a Fieldscope, the digital camera attachment is secured with a turn-and-slide eyepiece. Eyepieces that do not have a turn-and-slide eyecup cannot be used. A zoom-type eyepiece cannot be used with the Fieldscope. It is usable with the 24/30x 30/38x 40/50x 60/75x . However when using the Fieldscope, a combination of the eyepiece with a 40x wide/50x wide VIC or 60x wide/75x wide VIC will result in extreme magnification. We recommend using a 24x wide/30x wide MC or 30x wide/38x wide VIC instead

Vignetting occurs on the wide-angle side with COOLPIX cameras; you should use them at the telescopic setting. When using the COOLPIX 880, vignetting may occur even at a telescopic setting. For superior photographic results, using an MC-EU1 remote cord with a relatively large tripod is reccommended.

A Nikon Universal Mounting Bracket (#6926) is also available for using your Digital Camera with the Fieldscope.
