It's a lens hood, it fits what it is supposed to fit.  Not sure what else can be said about it.  Made by Nikon so it must be infused with the tears of Canon shooters, and blessed with the spirits of past Nikon aces. All photos shot from under this hood are destined for greatness and loads of Pulitzer Prizes for Photography. 

Really though, it does its job. Nothing more, nothing less.

I use the hood constantly but wore out the grooves n the old hood causing it to slip off constantly.  The replacement hood fits well and works good as new
