i bought a lens on ebay and the hood they sent was a Vivitar .. not the same as the Nikon HB-53 which is for the lens.  So I got this Nikon hood and feel it works better.

Nikon hood is excellent

Hood is great for outdoors but can’t use indoors with the on-camera flash. Causes shadow.

Does what it is supposed to do

I had damaged the one that came with the Nikon Lens . So i knew a replacement was needed, great product and serves it's purpose..Recommend it to anyone that needs one.
