Problem with Eyepiece

I purchased the rain cover to use on my D7100 and long lenses. The concept is great and I like the fabric. Plenty of room - it is big. One major problem however. The rain cover has a clear section at the rear so you can view the LCD display etc. and it attaches to the camera at the viewfinder with a special round eyepiece that screws into your existing camera eyepiece. This holds the rain cover in place. Great concept but the D7100 has a rectangular eyepiece so there was no way to attach the cover. I googled and a Nikon site said to buy the Nikon DK-22 eyepiece converter. I did that and it fits the d7100 but the rain cover special eyepiece adaptor doesn't fit the DK-22. So bottom line - this isn't for a D7100 camera or any camera with a rectangular viewfinder eyepiece.
