I use it hunting with my bow, muzzleloader and long arms. Judging distance over different terrain features is difficult. The Nikon makes it quick and very accurate. Typical Nikon value for the money!!

You must align your sight as stable as you can on a moving target to get an accurate range. Also, I found that the last range reading always came up in the viewing of your object, so this meant you had to press your power button again to get a new range reading very quickly if your are tracking a moving helicopter for height readings... This is a default that is built into this rangefinder for some reason... If they could eliminate this last range reading from coming up each time you're going to get a new range on an object this would be great; that way you'd not waste time clearing out the old reading in order to get your next range of your new sighting...

This is not a first target rangefinder suitable for golf. It picks up tress behind the green. Suitable for hunting not golf.
