I bought this to use with my Nikon Z7ii. If all you want is the ability to remotely trigger the shutter (take a picture), this is ideal. However, that is about the extent of what it can do. The function keys are programmable, but again with some limitations. The arrow buttons allow you to move the focus point, but how useful is this while you are not behind the camera?? Also, you must consider what the camera and the lenses you are using are capable of too. For example, I've seen posts where people have asked if you can zoom remotely, but the lens they are using only has manual zoom control. The one feature I find important that is missing is the ability to enable auto-focus with a half-press. There seems to be no obvious way to half-press the trigger and get the camera to focus. For the money, I would recommend looking for a less expensive third party (non-Nikon) solution.

It does what it's supposed to do :-) Used on a Z30, it's easy to setup and far more friendly than SnapBridge.

It's very simple to pair and works great. It can open both the MENU and iMENU, and make changes if you program it to do that. The range is probably shorter than the WR-10 Kits for the other Z Cameras I have, but for the Z50 it should serve very well. It didn't come with any instructions for setup. I did find instructions on the internet and a PDF of the instruction sheet it might come with.

I'm using the ML-L7 with my newly purchased z7ii with FTZ2 adapter and some F mount lenses. I instantly found that the ML-L7 shutter release button will only do auto-focusing one time right after the camera was turned on and it will never do AF again. This is obviously a huge flaw and I hope Nikon do something about it.

It works well. The only drawback was the typical poorly written instructions, but you can easily figure them out eventually.

Works perfectly and in the age of the shipping crisis I know I can always count on Adorama to ship fast.

Got this for the Z50. Took a while to figure out that I have to take one shot before it autofocuses. Next one will focus. It does not reconnect automatically as the instructions say, I have to reestablish connection in the menu every time I turn the camera on. Connects faster and easier than Snapbridge, so I'll keep using it.

I know with the P1000 there is no half press focus which by the way was not in any pre buying literature. Fork out the dollars then read the instructions where it gives you that oh, a piece of crap moment. Shouldn't have bothered buying it, I can do better with Snapbridge remote albiet it only focuses on one spot when touching your phone screen.

It initiates autofocus, and then releases the shutter. Job done well.

I've had this product in the past with my first Nikon P1000. I literally wore that camera out. I sold the camera and the ML-L7 to a dude who was having the camera refurbished. I recently purchased a new P1000 and simply had to have a new ML-L7 remote also. Enjoy using it.

Very easy to setup, works great. Needed it for using with video recording. Easier and faster to connect than with SnapBridge.

This is a must for the P1000. You can zoom in and out however I still find it necessary to engage the auto focus from the camera. There is no half-way to focus feature on the remote. They say it the auto focus is done when the button is depressed, however I have not found consistent behavior of that feature..

My camera is the Nikon Z50. The ML-L7 remote is also the correct one for use with the Nikon Z50 according to the Nikon site. Adorama needs to update their copy to include this camera. NOTE: it is not shown as being the correct model for use with the Z6 and Z7 by Nikon. I am unsure why Nikon would make these different. The remote was easy to connect and functions exactly as I wanted.

Works as advertised. Nikon knows it only works with one camera. Price is high because of it.

I purchased a Nikkon p1000 and had to wait for a remote control to zoom in on celestial objects. The camera I believe came out late in 2018. That being said enhancement gear was hard to get, I had to wait but Adorma came thru. They keep me up to date on the availability of my remote controller. Thank you Adorma it works better than expevted.

This remote is essential for the P1000 as the camera will be used on a tripod frequently. And this remote operates the camera really well.

Nikon ML-L7 Bluetooth Remote Control for Nikon Z50.

Bluetooth remote control can be used to control key camera functions when shooting remotely. Compatible with specific Nikon COOLPIX cameras, it has separate buttons for shutter release and video recording. You can also use the control to zoom and operate the camera menu.
