Waste of money for me for hunting purposes. Every piece rattles and makes too much noise. The retract mechanism isn't very quiet either.

It is good that it comes in camo, has a quick release hook, and the tether cord is long enough. Not sure how it would be for hunting yet.

This tether is wonderful in keeping your rangefinder close by and ready for use. Allows rangefinder to hang out of the way and in a moments notice you can pull it out, range and release with confidence the the tether will hold it tight and secure. Purchased 2 of these for hunting and was money well spent. I have used nikon for my photography and recreation needs since 1974 and never once have any of Nikons products let me down. Have a rangefinder, you have to use the tether.

While hunting, I carry (both) a small Rangefinder and Binoculars on the front of my chest, and at the same time. However, without this neat little (Retractable Tether), they would be in the way of one another. So, I've sewn an attachment ring (for the Tether)to my jacket at the front and top left shoulder area. And, carry my Binoculars as usual, around my neck. This way, they never interfer with one another and both are handy and very accessable.
