Next time I'll make sure I get the pinch cap type.

I misplaced one of my rear lens covers and needed another one. But I like keeping with my brands products rather than going third party. It looks and functions just like the one that came with the lens. What more can I say.

Needed a rear cap for a old lense that I own. This does the job.

Even though these come with every lens I would recommend picking up a couple of spares as sometimes they get lost in the shuffle of equipment, etc. They are very important if you want to keep dust and debris out of the second most important, easyist to contaminate, and hardest part of the lens to clean.

I previously had a generic rear lens cap that did not fit well. I carry my lenses while hiking and I wanted a lens cap that I could count on to stay put until I wanted to remove it.

One of the problems with getting off-brand lenses is that off-brand lens caps are often incompatible with other lenses. The LF-1, on the other hand, is compatibility with almost all lenses. Try putting the LF-1 from your kit lens on your off-brand lenses, and see if it fits. If it does, it makes life a lot easier to put an LF-1 on all your lenses, so that switching lenses in the field doesn't become an exercise in cap-to-lens matching.

It's a cap. It works much better than the Sigma, or Tamron versions that came with my 3rd party lenses.

My wife is the photographer. She went out an bought some cheap lens covers and they didn't fit right. I was worried she was going to scratch the lens (save a couple bucks on a lens cover and ruin an expensive lens). So I bought her the nikon versions and they fit perfectly. Plus she likes the fact that they say "nikon."

Wife bought the store display lens on the cheap. No back lens cover was included. I got her this one. She likes that it says "nikon"

Bought a couple of these. One to replace a cap I lost and the other to replace the crummy white plastic cap that came on my 50mm 1.8. This is much better than the cheap white plastic cap that comes on some cheaper lenses.

What can you say about something so simple? It does the job it's intended to do. I keep this cap on all my lenses at all times when not attached to a camera body to provide a little inexpensive insurance on my lens investment.

Every once in a while I lose one of these, and it's nice to have an extra onhand. I also use Nikon caps on my Sigma Nikon mount lenses, as the sigma rear caps are not the best.

I bought a Sigma 10-20 lens. When I bought the lens, everyone told me to replace the rear cap. After using the lens, they were right. The Nikon rear cap works properly. The Sigma is sometimes a challenge.

Nothing like OEM equipment to work right. Much better than the slip-on caps which do not lock in place.

This is the exact same cap as the broken one it replaces.

LF-1 Rear Lens Cap for all F-Mount Lenses and Teleconverters
Protect your Nikon investment with genuine Nikon lens, teleconverter and camera body mount caps. Lens caps protect the front and rear portions of your lenses and teleconverters from dust, smudges and scratches. Camera body mount caps protect the mirror box and reflex mirror when a lens is not affixed to the camera body.
