This is a lightweight way to get the flash to the left side of the camera, and you can carry the rig with one hand. A stronger and longer unit would work better for my needs, and the plastic wheels molded onto the attachment screws may or may not last -- I'll see. Still a great value and useful to get rid of red eye while adding almost no weight to the camera bag.

I purchased this bracket over thirty years ago for use with the Nikon bellows. I still use it for that purpose as well as for off camera flash. The bracket is big enough to mount two cameras. I mount two cameras, one loaded with B&W and one loaded with color film, you only need one tripod. Now I use it for a Nikon FE3 and D90. The bracket is rather large and heavy but very secure.

Bracket is durable and works great to keep flash off camera. Provides better lighting by creating and filling in shadows. Helps reduce red-eye and softens light by directing at an angle.

The camera bracket for the SU-4 enables you to attach a TTL Speedlight off camera, next to a Nikon D-SLR.
By connecting the TTL Speedlight unit and D-SLR's accessory shoe with the TTL Remote Cord SC-28/29, you can use the Speedlight as a grip-type flash..
