Nikon ss-800 replacment case for the SB-800 speedlight
Even though the case is ok and it works just fine, it doesn't feel right, it feels too soft and that you actually are not protecting your speedlight.

I really believe the SS-800 Soft Case is a necessity, and absolutely a 5 Star item
The SS-800 soft case for the SB-800 is really a necessity. The only problem I have with it, is the outside surface is typical of nylon cases, very slick. Be very sure of your grip on the case when you pick it up, or it will slide out of your grasp (OOOPs). I have dropped my SS-800 with the SB-800 inside several times, fortunately it landed on a soft chair each time. So, I made a makeshift "handle" running through the "belt loop" of the case, out of a cotton belting material, so I can hold it easily now.
I really believe the SS-800 Soft Case is a necessity, and absolutely a 5 Star item.

Works for SB-80DX, too.
Wore out my SB-80DX case, so I have this case for that as well as for backup use with my SB-800.
