Shopper : does this work with a D7100?TIEN N : Teleconverters can mount to all Nikon DLSRs, however, the limiting factor is the lens it will attach to. Not all lenses can be attached to this Teleconverter. Check with Nikon website for lens compatibility.

Sharper than expected, quick focus

Came as advertized. Full camera function. Actually, better IQ than expected. Recommend upgrading to lens with most recent VR.

This durable 2x doubles the focal length in a snap and is very reliable. Anyone using a 2x understands speed is essential to get the job done when a something turns out further away then planned. Always keep the 2x in the bag with the 200mm/2 or 300/2.8. It's better to have it and get the shot then be too far away when something changes at the last second.

Beats 5 grand for a 200-400mm

I use this on my 70-200 VR. Great reach but must use it in bright sunlight. Not a big problem in Florida.

Can't be recommended with zoom-lenses!!!

I have tried to combine this converter with the 70-200 mm f/2.8 VR. It doesn't work. Try to take a picture without the converter and enlarge the picture two times. This gives you better results than using the converter! The converter, however, works fine with the 300 and 400 mm f/2.8.

Nice converter.

I've been using the converter with Nikon's 70-200mm f/2.8 VR. The autofocus is quick and the vibration reduction works great. The converter is not cheap, but the images are very nice.
