Excellent teleconverter optics and works with a wide variety of Nikon AF-S lenses (except 105mm micro-Nikkor f/2.8G, where optically this TC works fine but with no autofocus). I use this a lot. I read some people say that the image resolution is not as expected?but remember?you are in effect magnifying the resolution provided by the main lens, not adding more resolution (i.e., resolving power) to it.

This 1.4x adapter was purchased primarily for use on a Nikkor 200-500 lens. It extends the reach to an effective 700 mm with no loss in quality, and only one f-stop. Great combination!

It works extremely well on my Nikon f2.8 FL ED VR and works good on my Nikon f5. 6 200-500 VR. when I'm using the longer lens it's usually birds in flight and I shoot at f8 to f11 anyway so it doesn't compromise the light. I've noticed no image degradation whatsoever. I would recommend it to anyone looking to get a little more reach.

Works great with my Nikon D780 and 70-200 VR lens. Auto-focus is a little slower, but the extra range is perfect for photographing soccer.

I purchased this product to get extra reach for my 300mm F4 lens. I am very happy with it and do not feel I lose any image quality with it.

I do a lot of bird photography so I have got great results with this teleconverter on my 200-500 nikor lens. I haven't had it a long time but so far I love the results. Slow focus in low light but to be expected with most zoom lenses.

The teleconverter gives that extra reach. It works best in bright light. It loses about 2 stops. AF hunting is not uncommon. I am learning how to control that tendency. I have got some shots of birds that I could not get without this lens.

It delivers what is advertised. You loose a couple of stops. In anything but bright light the AF hunts. It is slow to focus. However, it does give more reach. I shoot birds mainly and have gotten some shots that I would not have gotten without it.

I’m very happy with the 14 EIII 1.4 teleconverter. I’m using it with a Nikon 300 mm f/4 prime lens to give me 420mm. I do not see any loss of clarity and the autofocus continues to work fine.

i got the TC-14EIII to replace my aging “II” version for use on my newest Nikon lens, the 500mmf5.6PF. Although this makes the aperture maximum only f8, it still gives razor sharp images and focuses quite well, especially on the new mirrorless Nikon Z7. For those of you who photograph birds of all types, this combination will give you 700mm with the added bonus of not requiring a tripod. Using the 45mp Z7 allows for extra cropping thus creating images over 1000mm in equivalent focal length (and still have over 20mp of resolution!) Seriously, times have changed. Using the above equipment results in a total weight of less than 6 pounds. You can take it hiking, on a plane or about anywhere else you can think of. I own the mammoth Nikon 400mmf2.8 but it is a beast that often ends up sitting on the shelf. The best camera stuff is what you have with you, not what you left at home. I am now getting fantastic images that only lighter portable equipment can provide.

When you want a little more reach for those pesky flitty small birds or your neighbors wife sunbathing! lol This does the job! I'm very happy with the extra reach and image quality. I will be getting it micro-lens adjusted this week so may get even better quality!

I use this with my 300mm f/2.8 lens, in testing it was sharp from f/5.6 to f/11. I'm surprised at how well it works.

The TC-14E III is just the right compromise when paired with an AF-S Nikkor 70-200 2.8 & Nikon D850. No noticeable decrease in sharpness for the extra reach. The 1 stop difference is inconsequential under most circumstances. I have not tried it with any longer lenses.

after only some little use I can confirm that the converter is capable of very sharp images. Technic does become somewhat important due to the higher amplification of every shake.

This teleconverter is too useful to be without. Works perfectly. The extra reach is great with very little loss of light and doesn't take up much room.
