It is great not to have to use the f to z adaptor. My new Z lens is lighter, less bulky and the shots are crystal clear. I am thrilled to have Z mount lenses for my Z9.EXC

Impressive on how sharp across the edges this lens is. Really fast focus and great for night shots. I'm transitioning my F mount lenses but by bit to Z mount and there's no looking back.

Awesome lens. Light weight, superb clarity and tremendous fun to use. Nikon offers another excellent choice in this range and neither will really hold you back from getting great captures. I'm very satisfied with this lens for me!!!

The lens is very sharp and works well with autofocus on the Nikon Zf and Z8. Now, the autofocus can be tricky when shooting extremely wide as you can have to figure out what it is focusing on between foreground and back ground. Other than this, the lens is beautiful, small (compared to others I own) and very effective.

The best. I used it daily for reportage and occasional landscape use. Amazing lens with no regrets paying up for it. Now I'm out of news but still use this lens often for fun. It is a favorite and does not disappoint anywhere.

My only complaint about this bundle is the lens case is way too small for this lens or anything other than my old F-mount 50 and 35mm maybe. Overall it is an amazing value. The Peak Design SlideLITE, and the backpack are amazing.

Had the lower end 14-30 and went back and forth about making the upgrade and I am glad I did. Feels way more high end than the 14-30 which did not feel like a professional lens. Also like that it?s not big and heavy, more lightweight.

Love this lens, it?s so sharp. I?m also using the Haida ND filters in the back of the lens. Since this lens allows for rear filters I only need the 112mm CPL which stays on the supplied filter lens hood. So glad I opted for this lens to cover my landscape and Astro needs. I now only carry 1 lens in lieu of two (14-30 and 20mm). I love the z lenses, way to go Nikon. Buying this lens was the right decision for me.

Great lens. Sharper and lighter than the F mount counterpart. Expensive but worth the $

This is an amazing lens. I traded in my Nikkor 14-24 mm f 2.8 lens for the new Z series 14-28mm f 2.8 lens for the mirror-less camera. This is over 1 lb lighter and the same quality. I can take it anywhere now without worrying about the weight. The photos are very clear and what you would expect of Nikon.

So far the lens has been great. Coming from a DX system this wide angle on a full frame looks to be much wider that what I have used in the past, love it! Being a Nikon lens on a Nikon camera, no compatibility issues. I am surprised at how light the lens is given the size of it.

The perfect wide angle zoom. Love the OLED screen for astrophotography. So sharp and silent!

Sharper, smaller, and lighter than the original f-mount version, which was already considered by everyone outside of Canon fanboys as the best slr lens ever made. You do the math!

I think I should have saved the money and went with the F/4. I don't think I really need the extra stop. If you are upgrading from another F 2/8 I'm sure you're going to be very happy. I'm using it right now for interiors of old wrecked houses as I try to find other subjects. I really like that the zoom is internal and you can use a 112mm UV protection filter. With that humongous filter/hood attached it will just barely fit in a PD 6 liter sling attached to a Z5. So that makes it easy to carry. I'll add a Nisi filter set in the future thinking that will bring it into a great landscape lens. The two disadvantages of the lens are cost and size of the UV filter and hood combo. (At least you can use a filter though!). .

I love this lens, it is so sharp even right to the edge of the corners, good colors and contrast. The rings turning is so smooth, the lens has a very professional feel and build. While the display is interesting, the two extras I really like and use are the L-Fn button and the ring that can be assigned to a function. Together with the Z24-70 2.8 on the Z7ii, I will never shoot wide angle with my D500 again. I gave my 16-80 and 10-20 lens to my nephew to use with his D500. I loved the 16-80, but it pales to this lens. It is expensive, but what is not to like about this lens, you will not be disappointed by its performance.

Stunningly sharp, sharper than the Nikon 14-24 F2.8 AF version. Corner to corner detail is beautiful and tack sharp with contrast detail never before seen in a wide angle zoom. The addition of the two detail buttons was a stoke of genius on the part of Nikon Lens Designers and a wonderful aid when making images. Expensive, yes. Worth every penny, certainly.

Excellent lens for indoor and outdoor images. Great in low light. I took 85 images at a museum yesterday, most of them indoors without a flash. I now have the Holy Trinity system. 14-24, 24-70 and 70-200mm. The 14-24 is great at any focal length, 14 or 24.

This is by far the best L bracket I've ever used. It does what it's supposed to do and I still have access to all the ports and battery door. It doesn't add too much to the weight to my Z7ii. The only thing was I had to take out two screws from the Peak Design tripod so it can fit. Other than that It is perfect. I highly recommend this!!

Superb sharpness with this lens a great addition to the Nikon mirrorless line. This lens is a must-have for Nikon mirrorless shooters looking to be able to shoot wide angle and it is a great lens for night time photography.

This lens is just awesome sharp! The focusing is almost instantaneous. I'm still getting used to the buttons on the lens and haven't used them during an actual shoot as a result, but overall I'm extremely happy with build quality and image quality.

This is a worthy replacement for the infamous F-mount equivalent. A wonderful lens, more compact, lighter and with better optical performance than its predecessor. I use it primarily for night and long exposure photography and it performs as expected: very sharp and without coma for stars and pinpoint light sources. What I also enjoy very much is the reversible lens hood and the (almost) normal lens cap, which I can now put in my back pocket and no longer have to worry to accidentally pop off and loose.

Phenomenal lens. Essential for any outdoor/landscape photographers.
Horizons broadened.
The ultimate ultra-wide zoom.
The views through the NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S are simply epic. Ultra-wide perspectives that challenge our sense of scale. Clarity that transports you. A level of detail you have to see to believe. All in the shortest, lightest and most versatile 14-24mm f/2.8 constant aperture zoom available. Optimized for landscapes, cityscapes, night skies, architecture, interiors and environmental portraits-this is the lens for taking it all in.
The world's shortest, lightest f/2.8 ultra-wide zoom.
The NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S is smaller and lighter than any comparable lens. It's easier on your back, arms and tripod. It takes up less room in your bag, so you'll be more likely to take it everywhere you go. And it's superbly balanced on a Z camera for composing in the moment.
Out of the shadows.
Compose with dramatic backlighting from the sun and other light sources. Anti-reflective Nano Crystal Coat (N) and ARNEO (A) coatings virtually eliminate flare, ghosting and coma by suppressing incidental light coming from any direction.
Take it all in.
With ultra-wide lenses, every millimeter counts. At its widest setting of 14mm, the NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S covers 115 Degree of view. And it does so with staggering sharpness and clarity across the entire expansive frame from the center to the far edges.
More light. More options.
Gather more light at any zoom position with a fast f/2.8 constant aperture and your Z camera's Vibration Reduction image stabilization. In low-light, illuminate subjects with longer exposures or sharpen them with faster shutter speeds. This is compositional freedom.
The stars of the show.
Many wide lenses misshape pinpoint lights like stars. Not the NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S. Advancements of the Z Mount and the use of Aspherical elements keep point-light sources like stars and city lights round, sharp and clear, free of sagittal coma and flare.
Brilliant. By design.
Nikon's Z Mount has opened new possibilities for optical design. The NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S takes advantage of them all. From its compact size and extreme resolving power to its integrated filter slot and distortion control, this is a next generation lens in every way.
Plays well with filters.
Unlike conventional ultra-wide zooms, the NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S uses standard 112mm screw-in filters with the included HB-97 lens hood. And for added creativity, it's equipped with a filter slot at the rear element that lets you slide in trimmable filter sheets and gels.
Polarizing Filter
Neutral Density Filter
Say "action".
The NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S is ideal for video work. Use its ultra-wide perspective for establishing shots, interiors and drawing your viewer into the scene. The autofocus stepping motor and powered aperture mechanism operate in near silence. Even a hot shoe mic mounted on the camera won't pick up focusing noise. And focus breathing has been all but eliminated, so you can smoothly change focus without noticeably affecting the shot's angle of view.
Go. Wherever the road takes you.
The NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S is designed for the great outdoors. It's extensively sealed to keep out dust and moisture*, especially around the lens mount and all moving parts. The front element has Nikon's protective nonstick Fluorine coating, which repels dust and moisture and easily wipes clean.
Convenience. Built in.
Quick check. Lens info panel.
Quickly confirm focal length, focus distance, depth of field and aperture when you're shooting from a tripod and can't be behind the camera.
Technology
ARNEO Coat
An anti-reflective coating developed by Nikon and used in conjunction with Nano Crystal Coat to further reduce ghost and flare effects caused by incident light entering the lens vertically. This allows for the outstandingly clear capture of images even when a light source is located within the frame.
Stepping Motor
NIKKOR Z lenses use a stepping motor for fast, accurate, smooth, quiet autofocus with reduced wobbling. This quiet drive system makes the lenses ideal for use when shooting video.
Electromagnetic Diaphragm Mechanism
An electromagnetic diaphragm mechanism in the lens barrel provides highly accurate electronic diaphragm or aperture blade control when using auto exposure during continuous shooting.
ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) Glass
An optical glass developed by Nikon that is used with normal optical glass in telephoto lenses to obtain optimum correction of chromatic aberrations.
Nano Crystal Coat
An anti-reflective coating developed by Nikon that virtually eliminates internal lens element reflections across a wide range of wavelengths. Nano Crystal Coat solves ghost effects caused by red light and effectively reduces ghost and flare caused by light entering the lens diagonally.
Aspherical Lens
A lens with a curved, non-spherical surface. Used to reduce aberrations and enable a more compact lens size. Aspherical lenses minimize coma and other types of lens aberrations, even when used at the widest aperture. They are particularly useful in correcting distortion in wide-angle lenses and help contribute to a lighter, more compact design by reducing the number of standard (spherical) elements necessary. Aspherical lens elements correct these distortions by continuously changing the refractive index from the center of the lens.
IF Lens
A NIKKOR lens in which only the internal lens group shifts during focusing. Thus, IF NIKKORS do not change in size during AF operation, allowing for compact, lightweight lenses capable of closer focusing distances. These lenses will be designated with the abbreviation IF on the lens barrel.
Super Integrated Coating
Nikon Super Integrated Coating is Nikon's term for its multilayer coating of the optical elements in NIKKOR lenses.
