Lens preforms great. Using for some band photography so the f/2.8 and the 28-75 focal length works perfectly.also use it for some landscape photography.

Exactly as described and pictured, packed and packaged properly, and shipped promptly. I've got it on my Nikon Z6 (also ordered from Adorama btw), and love it!

I'm very pleased with the 28-75 F2.8. I was torn between this and the 24-120 F4.0 but I'm happy I went with this faster lens. At 75mm wide open, it has a very nice bokeh blur which is perfect for portraits. I hope to add the Nikon 70-180 MM F 2.8 next, for me these would cover all of my shooting needs.

I was able to purchase Nikon's budget 2.8 Trinity lenses in early May along with the Z7ii on sale. It was my first step into mirrorless coming from the D810. I got to use the new outfit on a hiking trip to Valley Forge and the surrounding areas during Memorial Day Weekend. Wow, what an incredible experience. I found myself using this lens the most out of the 3, (the other 2 were the 17-28 2.8 and the 70-180 2.8). The images were sharp and usable throughout the focal length and apertures. The bokeh was very "creamy" at 2.8.

I always used to shoot on the 24-70 f mount and wanted to give this a try over the 24-70 s to see how noticeable the difference would be. I absolutely love it! I don't even notice the 4mm on the wide end and I actually enjoy the 5mm of extra reach. Definitely would reccomend!

It takes some getting used if you are used to a fixed lenght lens, but I love it now and it is so versatile!

Great for weddings when I need a zoom lens. I have noticed the coloring is slightly different because of the focal length, but I've learned to shoot in Kelvin to avoid that!

Focus is slow. Images are grainy as well. Spend the extra $$ and get the 2.8s. This is a cheap Tamron lens with Nikon branding.

This is an awesome lens! I own a 24-70 f/4 S line lens that is my go to for events, but I wanted a Nikon native affordable faster zoom lens for portraits. I?m glad that I purchased the 28-75 f/2.8 lens when it was on sale. It has beautiful bokeh and the colors are beautiful. It?s also very sharp. I still use my prime lenses for portraits too, but this has become one of my favorite portrait lenses. I haven?t tried it for video yet.

While I like the zoom range of this lens, I was disappointed in the vignette around the corners at lower focal ranges, such as f/2.8. I tried the lens for a client session, and I am having to do extra editing to fix the vignette as selecting profile corrections alone does not fully fix the issue. Love the idea of this lens - it's not too heavy, feels balanced on my z6ii, and does have a great focal length range - but I foresee myself only being able to use it for personal work, not client work.

I have not read to many reviews about this lens other than it is a "knock-off" of an earlier version Tamron lens and I really don't know anything about that. But what I do know is that the Nikkor Z 28-75 has really been a joy to work with. I use it to shoot indoors at basketball and volleyball games and also do some portrait work with it and it produces wonderful images. I really don't understand why you would spend the extra $1000 on the Nikkor Z 24-70, when you can do just as well with the Nikkor Z 28-75. The lens is serving its purpose quite well.

I purchased the Nikkor Z 28-75 f/2.8 to replace my Sigma 24-105. I was initially concerned about losing some focal length with the Z 28-75 but now that I have used it both in my studio and outdoors, I am in love with it! This lens is light weight, tac sharp and fast! Nikon, you have hit it out of the park with this lens, especially in this price range! Thank you for this option with the mirrorless series!

This lens gives very clean and sharp images with the Nikon colors. The only thing is that it's not an "S Line" lens, so you do notice a SLIGHT difference in handling and build quality. Still an amazing lens, but if that matters to you, you might be happier with the Z24-70 2.8 (which is about $1000 more).

I bought this lens recently and used it for a wedding. I owned f4 lens, wanted to capture low light scenes. The f2.8 lens works well in all the conditions except, it doesn't focus at times. I observed it in videos also, at times - it loses the focus. I am hoping Nikon will fix the issue with a software update.

Versatile. Fast. Affordable.
A fast f/2.8 constant aperture. Brilliant low light capabilities. Vast depth of field control. Versatile zoom range. Macro-style close focusing. Fast, near-silent autofocus. All in a delightfully lightweight lens that's as inspiring for full-frame stills as it is for videos. The next level is now within reach.
The f/2.8 difference.
The NIKKOR Z 28-75mm f/2.8 is twice as bright as an f/4 lens. This gives you more control of light, more depth of field, more range of expression-more options for creative storytelling.
Dial in the depth and sharpness.
Shoot wide open for a gentle image that accentuates your subject against a beautifully defocused background. As you stop down the aperture, definition gradually spreads throughout the image, sharpening details across the frame. Expand your range of expression.
The heart of the zoom range, at your fingertips.
At its widest, 28mm (42mm equivalent on DX cameras), the NIKKOR Z 28-75mm f/2.8 is great for wide landscapes, architecture, street scenes and interviews. Smoothly zoom through the sweet spots of the focal length range-35mm, 40mm and 50mm-up to 75mm (-112mm equivalent on DX cameras), a view that's ideal for portraiture and compressing your depth of field.
Big beautiful bokeh.
Like all NIKKOR Z lenses, the NIKKOR Z 28-75mm f/2.8 produces beautiful bokeh. Its wide f/2.8 aperture and 9-blade rounded diaphragm render out of focus light as large, soft spheres. Isolate your subject against a dreamlike background.
Lightweight design defies convention.
The NIKKOR Z 28-75mm f/2.8 is the lightest, most nimble full-frame f/2.8 standard zoom we've ever created. It's nearly 30% lighter than the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S with a smaller diameter (75mm), and it's just 4.8 inches long when retracted. This is a go-to lens for being on-the-go.
Close focusing reveals hidden gems.
With it's optical design, the NIKKOR Z 28-75mm f/2.8 can focus as close as 7.5 inches. Fill your frame with the smallest details, and shoot in tight spaces to reveal epic new views.
Resists dust, drips, fingerprints and smudges.
The entire lens is sealed to prevent dust and water droplets from getting between you and a great image. The front element features an antifouling coating that resists dirt, fingerprints, and smudges and is easy to clean.
Tracks eyes with ease.
For rapid autofocus, the NIKKOR Z 28-75mm f/2.8 uses a high-speed stepping motor that makes minute adjustments with minimal mechanical noise. It's a perfect match for your Z camera's Eye-Detection AF, especially in situations where silence is golden.
Optimized for Z series video.
Its wide f/2.8 aperture, versatile zoom range and lightweight size make the NIKKOR Z 28-75mm f/2.8 ideal for gimbal work. Focus breathing is suppressed to maintain a consistent angle-of-view as focus position moves. Use the smooth control ring to make iris adjustments that create a natural shift in brightness. And all the while, the stepping motor is operating in near silence to preserve your audio integrity.
Technology
Electromagnetic Diaphragm Mechanism
An electromagnetic diaphragm mechanism in the lens barrel provides highly accurate electronic diaphragm or aperture blade control when using auto exposure during continuous shooting.
Super ED Glass
Nikon has also developed Super ED glass featuring even lower dispersion properties and extremely high performance in reducing the secondary spectrum, to minimize chromatic aberration even further, as well as other lens aberrations.
ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) Glass
An optical glass developed by Nikon that is used with normal optical glass in telephoto lenses to obtain optimum correction of chromatic aberrations.
Stepping Motor
NIKKOR Z lenses use a stepping motor for fast, accurate, smooth, quiet autofocus with reduced wobbling. This quiet drive system makes the lenses ideal for use when shooting video.
Aspherical Lens
A lens with a curved, non-spherical surface. Used to reduce aberrations and enable a more compact lens size. Aspherical lenses minimize coma and other types of lens aberrations, even when used at the widest aperture. They are particularly useful in correcting distortion in wide-angle lenses and help contribute to a lighter, more compact design by reducing the number of standard (spherical) elements necessary. Aspherical lens elements correct these distortions by continuously changing the refractive index from the center of the lens.
IF Lens
A NIKKOR lens in which only the internal lens group shifts during focusing. Thus, IF NIKKORS do not change in size during AF operation, allowing for compact, lightweight lenses capable of closer focusing distances. These lenses will be designated with the abbreviation IF on the lens barrel.
