The autofocus accuracy and speed is impressive in this camera. Really delivers. I own a Z7II that was used for wildlife but the Z6III easily replaced it. I miss the disable viewfinder when screen is open like the previous models had. Firmware update?

You'd do well to read some of the many professional reviews out there, but this lives up to the hype so far. 240 fps in full HD is everything I wanted, and it has many other advanced features to help me get the shot. I wish the sensor had a few more megapixels so the DX crop could be a bit more than 10 MP; if you're moving up from a DX camera, make sure you have some FX lenses to use or be ready to drop some cash on new lenses. It features the world's first partially-stacked CMOS sensor, which integrates high-speed data processing circuits, offering approximately 3.5 times faster readout speed compared to its predecessor, the Z6II.
The Z6III is equipped with a high-performance electronic shutter and a high-speed sensor, enabling super-fast continuous shooting and ultra-high shutter speeds without compromising the viewfinder experience. Capture up to 120 fps in JPEG with High-speed C30/C60/C120 modes, including Pre-Release Capture, and up to 20 fps in RAW with a maximum buffer of over 1000 shots. Freeze the fastest action with a shutter speed of 1/16,000 sec, and enjoy immersive live view with a smooth, detailed experience at a maximum 120 fps refresh rate.
Rock-steady image stabilization is achieved with built-in 5-axis vibration reduction, providing up to 8 stops of stabilization. Focus Point VR ensures stabilization is prioritized on the active focus point, enhancing your shooting precision. The camera's pro-level video capabilities include stunning image quality, super-accurate autofocus, and the versatility of in-camera RAW recording up to 6K/60p. It also supports line-in audio and professional monitoring tools, with 6K Internal RAW N-RAW up to 60p and ProRes RAW up to 30p. The Nikon Z6III is compatible with the Nikon MC-N10 Remote Grip (sold separately), Atomos UltraSync BLUE, and more, ensuring pro-level compatibility. Its EXPEED 7 processor enhances image quality at high ISO sensitivities and offers amazing low-light autofocus detection with Starlight Mode, allowing accurate composition in near-darkness. Dual card slots for SD UHS-II and CFexpress (Type B)/XQD cards offer backup, overflow, or separate file type storage options.
