I purchased the above camera from Adorama and was very pleased with the quick ship and delivery. I recently got back from Honolulu and Australia and took over 300 pictures and was very pleased with the results. I'm an amateur, but really like this camera so far. I also purchased the 2 year digital service plan just in case, but fortunately haven't had to use it. For the money, I think this camera was a good buy.

I have two toddlers, so drops and spills are inevitable, which is what killed my last camera, actually. But it was about 8 years old, so I didn't mind upgrading to the Nikon S7000. The plan seems to cover everything my toddlers could do to it in 2 seconds, so I'm very happy that it is an option on the Adorama site! Thanks.

This looks like it will be a good beginner camera for our son. We got it for him as a Christmas gift. It was difficult to find a beginner camera with a view finder. This one has a viewfinder and some basic settings so that he can start to learn the basics of photography. The downfall is that the case that came "free" with the camera does not fit the camera. It's too small. We got the Pentax XG1 camera. And the case that came with it was a Ricoh Adventure Case w/Carabiner and is way too small for the camera. When you look up the case, it says that it's for the W-series Pentax cameras, which is not the camera that we ordered.
