The 5-year protection plan provides a high degree of comfort, knowing that I'm covered in the event of an accident causing damage to my expensive equipment. Accidents do happen and risk is there regardless of how careful you are. I recommend the service contract, hoping that I never have to use it.

Luckily I haven't had to use the policy, but I HAVE heard they are easy to deal with at New Leaf. And New Leaf is also much less costly than other drops and spills contracts. I have bought products from competitors, but then purchased the insurance through Adorama, because they carry New Leaf rather than a contract that cost 3 times as much for the same coverage.

New Leaf saved me! I sent a Nikon 24-70 2.8G for repair under Nikon warranty and they said they would not repair because I Must have dropped it. I never dropped it, I baby my lenses. Anyway I sent the lens in to New Leaf and they repaired and fixed the focusing issue I was having with this lens. Saved me $600.00 I of course now am switching to Canon. Pay the for the plan its worth the piece of mind.
