...It's a camera, folks, not a rocket ship, and getting it to function as a camera with using only the basic options to make a decent photo is like launching a new career...the camera doesn't even allow for a simple cable release (when on tripod), instead you need another electronic gadget as a remote--meanwhile the subject bird has flown off to winter quarters in Mexico...

Plan would not repair my camera because it was a refurbished. It was refurbished by Nikon and I bought it and the plan from Adorama. Only had camera a couple of months. It took the plan a month to decide to pay me for the camera after I called at least six times and talked to several representatives. I was able to correct the problem myself with a software download and decided to keep the camera.

Thankful I haven't had to use my service plan but reading over what it covers it seems like a really great investment considering what you pay for a camera. Hopefully I want need it but the peace of mind is worth the price because you couldn't get it repaired for the price of the plan.

If you are looking for reliability and excellent customer service to repair or get your camera replaced urgently, the you must have be a part of the New Leaf 2 years Digital Service Plan. I had damaged my mirror inside my camera when I dropped it accidentally, The damage was repaired without a question and is back to normal. Its a great trade off and value for money...must have for all camera lovers.

I just bought a Canon Poershot SX 720 and purchased this protection plan with it. For just ($) you get two years of damage, malfunction protection. That's less than $ a month for 2 years of protection. I haven't needed to use it yet and may never use it, but, at least I know my camera is protected.

I have a few cameras that cost over $2K for the body alone. This little camera is incredibly fun. With halfway decent lighting or a tripod, you can get incredible telephoto shots. There isn't much out there like this camera, especially for the price.
