I bought a factory recertified camera body. It is essentially new and was much cheaper, but came with only a very short manufacturer's warranty (brand new warranty is 1 yr, recert is 90 days). I added the 3 yr New Leaf protection for only a few dollars. In the end, I get a great (essentially) new camera with a 3 yr full warranty at a combined lower price than buying brand new! Here's to hoping I never need the warranty :-).

Carefully read the reviews here. I purchased a protection plan based on the high stars but if you dig into the reviews they actually are for people who have not use the service or are reviewing Adorama website not the service.

I personally have been recommended to use this service plan by people that have used it in the past. I spent $ on a camera and this particular plan covers my investment for up to $. Which is perfect for me. That being said, i totally did not mind paying an additional 26 or so bucks for my investment. Anything can happen to technology and its equipment in within 3 years. Surely i wanted to purchase a warranty plan, especially that affordable. I highly recommend anyone getting it. I do hope i nothing happens to my camera, but i can rest assured that this service plan will assist me if something were to happen.

I bought a refurbished Nikon D7200 and I bought the new leaf 3 year service plan for peace of mind. The camera has been perfect but it’s nice to know I have the service plan if I ever need it.

Added this to my purchase of a Nikon refurb D7100 almost 3 years ago. About a month ago, the camera dropped a couple of feet popping opp part of the control dial and breaking the door over the card slots. Contacted New Leaf, waited a couple of days while they followed up on my claim and had me ship the body to United Camera in Chicago. Came back today, all shiny and fixed up. Camera's happy, I'm happy.

Beside Adorama's excellent reputation and awesome pricing, I felt very comfortable purchasing a refurbished product with the added benefit of a New Leaf service plan. If my new to me camera should wither and die, I am confident that I will not be out of a bunch of green, but that a new leaf will spring forth and the birds will soon return to pose for their photos.

Adorama offered very good specials on Nikon gear and the New Leaf service plan. I feel that it is a good value for peace of mind. I know how costly if can be to service gear out of warranty.

The people rating this service 5 stars must not have to deal with this warranty. Around March 20th, I called and put in a claim for a spill. They didn't want to honor their warranty and gave me the run around and finally, they decided to cover it. They had me send my camera to a place called United Camera. The company got my camera around March 27th. I called two weeks later to get an update and they said they would have my camera back May 1st. Well, May 1st came and went and I called again and now they are saying May 23rd. Now, I'm going on vacation and had to purchase a new camera because it's taking over 2 months for a repair.

July 2014, My Refurbished Nikon d7000 became sick after about one year. I utilized my "New Leaf" contract via ADORAMA. They provided an SO# to PhotoTech{their NYC repair source}who in turn submitted a work order to New Leaf..Long Story..Short! All Repairs approved and completed and Camera returned in less than two weeks to the West Coast. NO CHARGE! S&H all Paid for!!! THE BEST $27.95 EVER SPENT BY ME!!! Thank you ADORAMA, NEW LEAF AND PHOTOTECH!!
