I have not had occasion to use the service yet since I just got the camera and it is still under 30 day return . But I think its a good thing to have since I travel the world for photography and my cameras do get bounced around.

If you are into photograhy and want to protect your investment, this is the way to go. Don't matter the level of your expertise. We as humans tend to make mistakes and anything can go wrong. I've bought other protection plans and so far New Leaf is the break even for me. I haven't been in a situation where I have to make it valid (I always take care for all my video/photography gear) but I know that when the time comes New Leaf will be there to the rescue.

Nikon is known for top quality. I took a top notch camera repair course and we took an F completely down, rebuilt and tested it. I am always pleased to see such good design in cameras, but sometimes accidents happen. The 3 year service plan is money well spent. You never know!
