pictures sharp and clear through all focal lengths. the only difficulty is at the 400 extreme where hand focusing is sometimes needed.

The lens I purchased was the same price at the major camera outlets but Adorama had the best deal on the damage plan. I hope that I will never need to use the damage plan but it is good insurance at a reasonable price.

Absolutely a must! I love having this to protect my equipment. You never know when your going to drop or spill something and then you need it fixed or something replaced. I have had to use this protection in the past with a lens. It was a little confusing because they sent me through another business to handle the issue. So I had to call several times and finally got what I needed fixed. It did take sometime and I got my lens sent off and fixed within 5 weeks. The process may take more or less time.
