Estrin L : Is there a less expensive, lower output flash tube that will work in place of the FQ3? I'm only using it as a background light so it doesn't need to have the high watt/second output.WILLIAM J : 67.375 " w/the rubber foot all the way out or 1711.325 mm over length. 21.5" overall length from top of screw to bottom of point or 546.1 mm. Each leg is a different size to fit in the upper legs. I have a Cannon 40D and a Cannon 100-400mm zoom and it holds that weight. Bottom Leg 5/16" dia or 7.9375 mm dia, next leg up 3/4" dia or 19.05 mm dia, next leg up 7/8" dia or 22.225 mm dia & the top section is 1" dia or 25.4 mm dia. Hope this helps. Estrin L : Is this the proper replacement tube for an old LH2000 lamphead? The original part number for the tube is 910106.CHAD C : It can be used for both stills and video but it is not a fluid head. So you wont be able to do any panning with it.MARK P : Yes you can. The Handycam is designed to accept a universal tri pod contact point. You can confirm this by looking at the bottom of your Handycam. You are looking for a hole about the size of a pencil eraser that has screw threads on the inside of the hole. This is where you would attach the tripod to your Handycam.JOHN M : i do not have a handycam or want one. with the style of pan head this unit uses and how fluid the movement needed to pan while shooting video may be needed, i do not see how this could ever be used while actively panning. the locking handles for the pan head would, to me, get in the way of your face and wobble around. the threads on the locking handles are coarse threads and with that you get major wobble from the handles if they are twisted slightly to loosen the pan platform for movement. for rock steady long shots/close shots and a wonderfully solid stable very well made tripod i am totally satisfied. this is my first tripod and i only shoot ocassionally. i am sure there are tripods available specifically made for smooth very fluid panning.CRAIG B : Yes, as long as your Handycam has a standard tripod thread.
