I have a portrait studio and use these Norman's. Excellent color despite the power setting, fast recycle and reliable. I compared many different brands and many had bad design for mounting umbrellas or softboxes. These Normans make life simple with a simple rugged mounting design. For me the 400 watt units work great because I can dial them down to get some open f-stops. If you buy too much power you can't do that - something to consider. The rear controls make setting accurate levels easy and repeatable.
