Engineered with precision, the U47 FET utilizes fet 80 circuit technology, a feature that distinguishes it for its wide dynamic range. This technology, also found in the renowned U87 model, ensures superior audio capture and reproduction. At the heart of this microphone is the K47 double large-diaphragm capsule, a component that was first introduced in the legendary tube-based predecessor, the U47. This capsule enhances audio clarity by providing a slight boost in the range above 2 kHz. For added versatility, the U47 FET is equipped with a switchable low-cut filter. This feature allows you to electronically raise the lower cutoff frequency from 40 Hz to 140 Hz, effectively suppressing undesirable low frequencies such as impact sound and wind noise. It also serves to compensate for the proximity effect, ensuring a balanced and clear audio output. To handle high sound pressure levels of up to 147 dB, the microphone features switchable attenuation that can reduce transmission levels by 10 dB. Moreover, to prevent overloading of the connected preamp, the output signal can be reduced by 6 dB via a switch located on the bottom of the microphone. The U47 FET is designed for stable positioning, thanks to its swivel-mounted integrated bracket. The bracket stand connector is equipped with a 5/8"-27 internal thread, along with an adapter for 1/2" and 3/8" threads. For added convenience, the microphone cable can be secured at the side of the stand connector, accommodating cable diameters of up to 5mm.
