I don't mind using gels for change of color temperature, and by the way, I feel like having Bi-color just takes out the power that you see in specs, so a balanced 5600K LED is excellent for me.MACKENDY J : music videos and making films and documentariesRAFI B : price and qualityCAMERON W : great output, and an amazing pricePHIL O : good light quality and powerfulROBERT M : Good reviews online. Powerful & can't beat it for the price. Can be

Powerful & can't beat it for the price. I shoot network television and I need equipment I can depend on in all environments.  The Forza 300's have been my go-to light in live shots. It's strong and can compete with the sun on the brightest days. I always attach the Nanlite Fresnel Lens in case I need to focus the light or block the light with the barn doors. It also can be battery charged by 2 v-mount batteries. With my Core SWX 150 batteries, I can get at least an hour out of the light before needing to switch batteries. I've also used them indoors. I've thrown 2 in the corners of a room bouncing them off the walls to light a room. It makes it easy for shooting an interview when you don't have a lot of time.

I was a skeptic… but not anymore.

I was skeptical about the Forza. But I heard so many people talking about it and saw so many good videos and photos in Instagram that I had to give it a try. 1) It is BRIGHT! Holy moly. 2) It is quiet (I almost never use it at full power, but when I do, the fans are quiet enough for me). 3) It looks cool (I know this isn’t important, but actually it is to my clients. Good looking gear gets me hired and hired again. People are strange) 4) All my previous softvoxes fit on it. (Yay) I was so used to panel lights that I was wondering why upgrade? Wel, the power and being able to use different reflectors on front really did it for me. And the case it comes it is super click, too. Nice colors, good stitching.

Great output, a little noisy

The fan is a bit loud. Sound guy has complained on a few shoots. Depends how far u got it. I’ve generally had it about a meter hand a half to 2 and a half meters from talent on those occasions. You can turn the fan off, though supposedly you lose a stop of light. Haven't tested yet. Excellent output otherwise. I’ve compared with other COB LED lights and its the strongest I've seen yet, especially with the reflector. I’ll share some of my results here. With the included reflector on the light metered at 2 meters (6.6ft) at ISO 800, shutter 180°, and 30 fps, i got f16 6/10 for 903 fc or 9700 lux. That’s 1 1/3 stops brighter than my Astra 6x, 2 stops brighter than the godox 150w, 2 1/2 stops brighter than the Aputure 120DMKII, and 3 stops brighter than the godox 60w. With no reflector the light gives an even f11. I wish it came with a remote like Aputure and godox lights do. That's one downside. Also the power unit says it requires higher volt batteries than nanlite says.

Excellent Light, Semi-noisy Fan

Overall, this NanLite Forza 300 is an excellent light! It is extremely bright and color accurate. The build quality is excellent and it is light and looks great. Bowens mount fits perfectly. The case it comes in is excellent. The reason I gave it 4 stars is the fan is not as quiet as that of the Aputure C300D II--its closest competition. That said, one can turn the fan off but will lose about 50% of potential light output, which remains incredibly bright, nonetheless. I highly recommend this light to anyone interested in video/still photography.

The Forza 300 LED from NanLite is a monolight style light fixture with remarkable light output relative to its size. Weighing only 5.5 lbs, the Forza 300 employs a COB LED module to output 43060 Lux of 5600K daylight-balanced light at 1 meter. All while maintaining a high CRI/TLCI of 98/95, ensuring accurate color rendition.

Ultra Bright Output
With the included reflector, the Forza 300 emits an impressive 43060 Lux at 1 meter. When equipped with the optional Fresnel the light output climbs to a staggering 108679 Lux at 1 meter. Plus with dimming from 100% down to 1% you can quickly adapt the Forza 300 to any scene without adding ND filters or diffusion.

Lightweight Compact Design
Created to eliminate the difficulties of traveling with large light fixtures the Forza 300 weights only 5.5 lbs and is compact enough to be easily packed into most gear cases.

Color Perfection
The brightness of a light is important, but without color accuracy, a ton of time and money will be lost in post-production. The Forza 300 features a CRI of 98 and a TLCI of 95 meaning you can shoot with confidence knowing the color reproduction will be precise.

Bowens Style Light Modifier Mount
By utilizing the near-universal Bowens style light modifier mount, the Forza 300 is compatible with a massive selection of light modifiers. Including, but not limited to NanLite's line of softboxes and umbrellas.

Practical Effects
With pre-programmed special effects in a simple-to-master menu system, the Forza makes it easy to imitate lighting scenarios that can otherwise be tricky to recreate. At the touch of a button, you can simulate the lighting effects of lightning, a TV screen, a flash and a malfunctioning light bulb.

Satellite Control and Power Station
To keep a low center of gravity and the controls easily accessible the Forza 300's control panel, AC adapter and battery plate have been combined into one satellite unit easily hung from any light stand. The satellite also serves as the DMX connection point enabling the Forza 300 to be quick adoption to any DMX controlled environment.

Power Anywhere
Optimized for use in the studio or on location, the Forza 300 can run off either the included AC adapter or 2x 26V V-Mount batteries (Not Included) so you can operate in any location regardless of power availability.

Studio and Location Ready
Supplied with a standard 5/8" receiver mount, the Forza 300 can be mounted directly on any standard light stand and the 330-degree rotating yoke makes it easy to adjust an angle or hang the light from a ceiling for studio use. Also thanks to the Forza 300's active, silent fan it is at home in even the most sound-sensitive situations.
