This NcStar front sight solved a major problem for me. I have an AR15 in 458 SOCOM. My gas port front pic rail was 1/4 inch lower than the receiver main rail. I bought the 458 used. It runs like a champ. So I didn't want to replace the gas block when the gun runs perfectly. The NcStar sight is a heavy wt Steel front sight with no plastic/polymer parts. Hvy battle ears and is spring loaded. Push it up to vertical. Pull it back to lay down. No tiny button to feel for with heavy winter gloves when hunting. With the Iron sights I have a backup should my Sig Romeo take a dump. Most importantly Iron sights almost never lose their zero. I can co-witness my irons in the upright position to the 2 moa Red Dot and verify the Sig is on the money. Folks that criticize this sight did not read in entirety that NcStar explains this sight is for low profile gas block rails .250 lower than their receiver pic tin rail. It works perfectly as described on my 458 SOCOM. I'D GIVE IT 10 STARS if I could!!!

Thought I got a defective one because golf balls would not fit in it. Exchanged it for a new one and the problem was only partially solved. Out of every 5 balls of the same brand maybe 2-3 fit . It is a blast for the ones that do fit Customer service was great, the exchange process was quick and painless

Well I can’t personally say how good it is. It was a gift for my son. But he loves it and having fun with it Fun with golf ballsup in Virginia. Hope to try it next summer.

We use this as a back up sight, in case your scope gets bumped and does not hold a zero, just quick release scope and flip up sights. In business.
