600 W/S Variable Power Pack
The heart and soul of the Novatron system is the power pack. All Novatron power packs are Digital Camera Ready. It produce power pack in 600 watt-seconds. The smaller power packs have fewer capacitors making them lighter in weight and lower in cost. Conversely the larger packs have more capacitors contributing to more powerful flash output and faster recycle times. All our power packs are digital camera ready and have digital camera-safe sync voltage levels one NMI001 sync cord included with every power pack and kit.

In the middle power range we offer two infinitely variable power packs, the V400D and V600D. Designed for the fashion photographer, the V600D has 50% more power than the V400D and has a fast recycle time of 3 seconds. Both of these units feature a single control that sets power output over a 4+ f-stop range.

Novatron flash heads demonstrate the most efficient flash emission available in the industry. Each head is subjected to 100% quality checks at each step of fabrication and assembly. The fully assembled heads are, again, 100% tested under load for a minimum of 100 firings as a final inspection. Novatron flash tubes are color corrected to a color temperature of 5500 degree Kelvin (daylight).

Novatron flash heads come in two categories, un-switched and switched. To avoid damage, switched heads must not be used in the stop-down mode without at least one other head set to full power. Damage of this nature voids the warranty. The brackets used in heavy duty applications such as large soft boxes may benefit by the use of the optional 4049 locking heavy duty handle kit which replaces the tilt knob with a 3-1/2" handle.

The new 2103-FC is a 3-way switching convertible flash head that contains the controls to independently ratio the flash and modeling lamp at full, -1 stop or -2 stops. It comes equipped with an internal fan, which aids in cooling the electronics and the USER REPLACEABLE plug-in flash tube. Fan cooling extends the power handling capacity of this head to 1500 watt-seconds. It is also shipped with a 250-watt halogen modeling lamp and a 25-foot power cord. This flash head comes with the N2032 (6-1/2") removable reflector and the new N4040 heavy duty mounting bracket.
