The KOPF2's innovative design allows for independent adjustments in both axes in its basic version, offering precise tilting up and down, as well as lateral tilting. The side clamping levers facilitate coarse movements around the horizontal and vertical axes, while the adjustment screw allows for finer adjustments.

The self-locking fine drive is a standout feature, preventing unintended falls or descents of heavy camera constructions when the side clamping lever for coarse adjustment is closed. This geared head also allows for particularly small, precise angular movements, achievable by enlarging the diameter of the fine adjustment screw using the optionally available CAST-FINE-K fine adjustment handle.

The KOPF2 is equipped with adjustable and zeroable angle scales on the joints of the horizontal and vertical axes, enabling reproducible angular positions. Integrated bubble levels further enhance precision, allowing for adjustment of these angles to 0 degrees. This facilitates targeted navigation to specific positions or setting defined angular intervals.

The upper and lower device mounting brackets come with an ARCA-compatible dovetail profile, a 3/8"-16 thread with a 1/4"-20 adapter, a 1/4"-20 mounting screw, video pin holes for secure mounting, and recesses for safety pins. The ARCA-compatible dovetail profile also allows direct insertion of the head into a corresponding quick-release system or a panorama panning base with an integrated coupling.

In the basic version, the KOPF2 is pre-equipped with a factory-mounted Q-MOUNT quick-release clamp on the upper leg and a PANORAMA-II panorama base mounted on the lower leg. The Q-MOUNT quick-release clamp facilitates rapid locking of plates through a double-threaded mechanism, eliminating the need for lengthy screwing. The safety pin, in conjunction with NOVOFLEX QPL series quick-release plates, prevents plates from slipping out in both directions.

The PANORAMA-II panorama base features a 360 Degree scale with 5 Degree subdivisions. A secure locking screw allows precise fixation of the geared head in any desired position. Additionally, it incorporates a ball bearing for smooth and play-free movement. The underside features a 3/8" thread with a 1/4" insert adapter.

The KOPF2 can be configured for use by both left and right-handed individuals, making it a versatile addition to any photographer's toolkit.
