STEPHEN Y : Will this work on my omd with nikon vr lenses and old ai?KARTHI U : It is much better easier on non G lenses. Use it with my D lens and Nikon 35mm f/2 AI-sJIM B : I purchased one of these in November. And, yes you can use it on AIS lenses. This unit has an infinitely variable aperture ring so you can change aperture value but not in distinct (f-stop) steps. It is my understanding that the other Novoflex adapter units would only allow wide open aperture use. On my Nikon D800 I am able to register 3 different manual lenses. I have a 55 Micro AIS, 24 AIS, and 105 AIS. They all work with this Novoflex Adapter. Best of luck, jim bROBERT L : I've used a Novoflex on all my Nikon mount glass, it might be a little difficult to take off in some instances but they mount and I assure you all my lenses have been used with my 4/3rds camera and the Novoflex made it possible. Shopper : will this adapter mount a nikon "d" lens to an olympus micro 4 3rds ....PEN E-PL2?CLAYTON T : Yes it will. Of course, you will not have any Autofocus functions. Am I correct in remembering that the "D" lenses do NOT have an aperture ring to be able to manually set f/stops? If so, that might make it tough to choose a lens aperture while the lens is mounted on the PEN camera. Any Nikno lens that has an aperture ring would work fine.EDWARD L : I'm pretty sure it will. It will mount Nikon D lenses to my Panasonic G3 MFT. The MFT mount is universal, so will work. RICHARD P : I have a similar unit, specifically for Canon FD (35mm) to Canon EOS. It works exactly as it was described. Not automatic, of course, but now I can use my whole old collection with a modern body.

Excellent product

Works as advertised. I was able to attach a Nikon 105mm f/2.8 F-series lens to my Panasonic GH2 without a problem. The main reason I bought this adapter as opposed to a cheaper one is for the aperture ring - required if you're using a lens that does not have an aperture ring on it, as is the case with me. Perfect fitment and very high quality. Expensive but worth the price if you aren't willing to compromise.

AWESOME

This adapter is awesome. I am currently using it for my GH3. There is no play or give in this pieces and it is solidly contracted. Only reason I am taking one star away is because I wish we had broader control over the aperture. The adapter only shows fully opened half and closed. Hopefully that makes sense. Regardless, its an awesome piece that is worth the money!

Very Handy

I have a bunch of nikon manual focus lenses that I can now use on my Olympus PEN E-PL1. They work great...just set the camera to aperature priorty, set aperature, focus and shoot. Have a nikon 100 f/2.8 E series lens that works great as a portrait lens.
