Shopper : I have a sigma 600 mirror lens that fits on my contax SLR camera. Will this adapter allow me to fit the sigma lens to my sony nex5 dslr with e mount? Thanks, EricHENRY C : I'm not familiar with the Sigma 600 mirror lens but, I bought this adapter to use my Contax/Yashica mount 50mm and 28mm Zeiss SLR lenses on the NEX 5n and it works wonderfully. So, I don' see why it wouldn't work for you as well.LARRY C : Sorry, I don't know. It's worked perfectly with every Contax Yashica lens I've got, and I've got most of them, but no mirror lenses so I don't know for sure. My guess is that if the mount on the mirror lens does not look any different than any of your other C/Y lenses (no strange protrusions, etc) then you would be fine, but I'd hate to be responsible for giving you bad advice. The Novoflex is a top quality piece, though. No play, no slop whatsoever in the adaptor. Sorry I could not give you a definitive answer.STEVEN L : Sorry - I do not have a lens like yours so I cannot provide any credible advice. Mine does successfully adapt Leica R lenses to my NEX-7 body.
Shopper : dHI Just got my contax g 28mm, 45mm, and 90mm with the Novoflex NEX/CONT adapter. Can not get the lenses to attach to the adapter. they just flop around inside the inner ring of the adpater. Obviously I"m anovice at this. Got my voightlander instantly attached to my M to E mount (Novoflex also.) Am I missing something here??? I can't find any exact directions (probably too simple an operation). Feeling foolish but left wondering if this is the right adapter - are there NOvoflex for Contax/Yashika adapters that aren't contax G??LARRY C : The Contax G mount, which was for the Contax rangefinder camera, is not the same as the Contax/Yashica mount, which lenses were used on the Contax and Yashica single lens reflex cameras. The Contax G lenses were smaller diameter than the C/Y lenses and it was not possible to fit the "G" rangefinder lenses on the C/Y single lens reflex cameras, and vice versa. The Novoflex adapter which adapts the Contax/Yashica single lens reflex lenses to the NEX body won't work with Contax G lenses. The Novoflex adapters are really nicely done and work without a hitch on the NEX cameras, but you need to be sure to get the right one. Sorry for any confusion.MIKE S : I am using Contax/ Yashica (C/Y) mount lenses on my NEX 7 with the Novaflex adapter...works fine. If I understand correctly. you have Contax G mount lenses(autofoucus/auto f stops)? I can only assume this is a different mount that the C/Y mount.thomas y : This adapter will not work with the contax g lenses. It's only for the c/y mount. I don't think novoflex makes one that works with the nex. Metabones? makes one and there is kipon one too.
