I already owned one of these digital alarm clocks and wanted another one for a second bedroom. This clock allows you to digitally tune in the radio stations. I can now wake up to NPR whereas I never could with previous alarms that used a dial to tune in. It's a nice compact unit with no need for extra buttons. It did take a little while to remember how to set the time and turn the unit off, but overall very pleased.
