Dropped my iPad from roughly 5ft while checking a security camera, I didn't have the cover on, as I was aligning the camera.... Fell flat on the screen, no damage,,,

I've used these for my iPads and iPhones from day 1. These are stellar cases that really do protect our gear. I do add a glass shields to the iPhones. I tried other Amazon cases and they just don't compare. I've dropped the iPhones plenty of times and they simply withstand the abuse. They fit perfectly, like the feel, and appreciate the durability over time. Won't use any other case. BTW our iPads are used on blue water catamarans for plotting and tracking and these cases work perfectly.

Amazing case that would be perfect except for 1 teeny tiny flaw smaller the the size of a grain of rice. This case offers the same great protection I have learned to love since I had the iPhone 3GS (since before 2010). I have protected all of the iPhones and iPads in my household using their Defender cases and a few others like the Commuter and Symmetry and the one I WISH THEY WOULD REVIVE - THE PURSUIT! Anyway, all have been great and never had a complaint until now. This Defender for the iPad Pro has an Achilles heel - the tiny peg that is part of the hinge mechanism for the Apple Pencil door. I have had 2 of these cases (the other for my Gen 6 iPad Mini) and both have missing doors because the hinge leg broke on both of them. Perhaps if they used a small metal peg that is 3/4 embedded I to the plastic - they would be more resilient. (That's a free tip for you Otterbox ??). HOWEVER - Otterbox never disappoints because their warranty and general support overall is stellar. I am right now waiting for my replacement Defenders to arrive in the mail. Setting up the claim for a replacement is painless and quick as long as you have proof of purchase and a picture of the damaged/defective product. See the attached pictures I had submitted for my claims. So although this Defender has an Achilles heel and likely has disappointed lots of iPad owners - it is not nearly enough to make me even think of considering any other company to take care of my "Apple Babies." Note: LifeProof could have held a candle to them with their waterproof cases - but now that doesn't matter because we are all one big happy family.

I bought this case for work it is a very solid case but the pencil flap broke within two weeks of just using it. Didnt drop it or anything the flap just broke off cause they dont put a steel rod through the plastic to keep it from breaking off the hinges. Good case but bad design.

I'm in the crowd that doesn't use the iPad cameras so these new cutouts do nothing but let in dirt. I prefer the older style that did not have the cutouts and which kept the iPad fairly clean. Plus manufacturing has moved outside of the US.

I bought this Otter Box for the 12.9 iPad, and it was worth the wait and money. It has been dropped on the ground and tossed around truck, and it the iPad still works without issue.

I purchased this last August. Almost immediately one of the corners broke off because the cover was extremely difficult to snap on and off. I was "ok" with it being gone because the cover was at least easier to snap on and off. Now a second one has snapped off? compromising the cover's ability to stay attached. I'm afraid to lose my pencil, as such, to also to allow my iPad to get hurt without proper protection. Frustrating to have to go through this, this time. I previously owned another Defender case for an earlier version of iPad and it was great!

There has to be a better option for installation with the pencil cover. It breaks off entirely too easy. I'm on my second case and it just broke up from hitting headboard and took the little plastic piece it connects to with it. This case sucks

This case will absolutely protect your iPad. But that also makes it bulky, and if you have a flash drive or a USB hub designed to plug directly into the iPad you can forget it. You'll have to remove the case (NOT easy for me) or buy and keep up with a M/F USB cable as the case prevents most anything except a USB cable from plugging in.

Mehhhhh. My Face ID won't work because it says the camera is covered. But the camera is fine for FaceTime calls. I wish the stand to prop it up didn't have to be taken off. Because now the two pieces are separate and get left behind. Would be great if kickstand was attached

I have had my iPad Pro 12.9 for years and had this otterbox before I even took the iPad out of the box-but when it was being made then the ottorbox was much thicker and heavier. I ended up using my warranty and it was replaced with a much thinner/lighter version. I am very gentle with such an expensive electronic device and In less than 4 months of using this new and improved rotor box, my iPad screen has cracked. If this was my own negligence, would definitely accept it. But the more version of this ottorbox is a no go for me. Please bring back the more durable version of this ottorbox. Not all thinner/lighter designs as a good design.

I really like the new iPad Pro case. It's very sleek and it has a great fit. It also has a great protection. Screen protector is amazingly sensitive.

This case provides excellent protection in a not-too-bulky design. As a musician, this case provides a great form factor for clipping into a mic stand holder. Previous cases were too bulky, and barely fit, but this one is perfect. I like the optional pen storage inside the case cover, so the case width can be minimal. The pen can be easily charged or stored by opening a narrow door on the right side of the case. This option was one of the best features for using the iPad as I do. It gives you two places to keep your pen.

I?ve used otter box cases on my devices for years. I thought I would try the folio keyboard on my last iPad. It doesn?t offer any drop protection and wore out to the point of not even working. I ended up with a broken screen and useless keyboard for 2 years until I could replace that iPad. I?ll never have another iPhone or iPad without an otter box again. Nothing else protects like an otter box while allowing the full function of the device and enhances the existing features. I wish there were other colors besides black available!

I?m very impressed. My son removed the silicon back earlier in the day. While we were driving home, he held it out the window and dropped it! We must have been going about 35 MPH. When we retrieved it from the side of the road, the iPad was totally intact. The case was scratched but the device inside was working fine and unbroken! Of course we bought another Defender to continue protecting this device!

Worst otterbox product i have ever owned. Robber cover doesn't fit properly. The hard cover for the screen doesn't fit properly either. Only 3 corners will actually click shut. Then when you try to get it off You think you're going to have to break it to get it off. I have taken it completely out 3 times and rubber cover still will not fit completely.
