Bought the Otterbox defender series in black. Did not protect my phone as marketed and the back glass of my iPhone is now shattered. I'd have better security at our borders?

Drop test? Yeah, they failed that test.

I love the otter box pro. I've had several and it's the first accessory I buy when I get a new phone. I love the belt clip so I don't have to worry about having a pocket to put it in. 
I've dropped or sent my phone flying on accident before and have yet to have damage. 
When I have broken a belt clip, they are great about warranty replacement.

I bought 2 of this cases and both last less than one year. I didn't know about the warranty. I try to reclaim the warranty but the cases Defender Series are not in the list warranty.

My Defender has lasted me about exactly 2 years. Ive had it and worn it down, dropped it and its always done its job. The flaps that cover the charging port kinda just fell off after a while but that was not that big of a deal. Overall 10/10 case.

Worth the Money

Mediocre case. I've had this case for all 3 of my last phones and after a few months, the outer rubber shell starts to disintegrate. It will prevent your phone from being damaged, but dont expect it to last long. 2 of the first things to go will be the cover for the charging port then the cover for the silent switch. I recommend you hang on to your receipt because you will be needing it for the replacement. I got mine at Best Buy and tried to recover the receipt to no avail and otterbox wont replace even the outer shell without a receipt.

Outer shell disintegrates quickly

Do not buy this case. My iphone broke while in the case. I was looking at my camera and noticed a crack i took the case off and the glass was shattered. I am so upset because i did research and took my time to find a good case and only had it for 5 months. I would recommend a different brand!

Bought Defender series for my husband's iPhone 13 Pro in Feb2022 (long time user); in July holster broke. Submitted a warranty order online and received a new holster. But for a while now phone does not stay securely fastened and pops out when touched. Other cases never did that, and naturally phone drops to the ground. I was making another warranty order online for case, and site says can't ship to my location in Canada!!!! But it will ship if I order a new one and not through warranty.

This is my fourth Defender case throughout several phones. This is the best one yet!  I had trouble understanding the written instructions. I called Otterbox and I was walked through my problem with a friendly support guy. Great people to work with.

I started buying the Defender series for my wife's Iphones about 5 years ago. At the time I was working as a mobile phone repair technician and my coworker recommended Otterbox.  We have two small boys. The Defender is the only case that  provides  the level of protection necessary to keep her devices in good condition. My only (mild) criticism is the color choices, there are far too few and none in the more feminine color palate my wife prefers.
