Port protection failed

The case is good, However, one of the main reasons I picked this case was for the port protection. The material of the port protection is rubber and within less than 6 months the rubber has torn 60% of the way and soon will fall off.

Colors

I have been buying otterbox cases for 10 years. It saddens me that the defender is never in better colors. Apple makes beautiful phone colors and the defender never makes those colors. I realize less sturdy cases are in colors and even clear. I work in construction so a less sturdy case than the defender will not do. Please consider adding some apple type colors to the defender. I know red is not under a copyright.

best case but just a tad slippery

It was slippery but as soon as I put my magsafe wallet on, It felt more easy to hold. Its not as bulky as the defender but gives you great protection from drops.

Worse than they used to be for twice the price.

I don't upgrade my phone every year or two. I don't need the latest camera and I don't care about screen size. So after 5 years, I finally gave up on my Iphone 7 because it seems it starts having trouble after every new phone comes out (coincidence Apple??. Anyway, the battery was started to fail so I switched to the 13 mini. My last high end Otter box was a solid plastic case, with a screen protector built in and a "rubber" covering. It was great. I used it for 5 years and it was starting to fall apart but I definitely got my moneys worth. I order another one for my new phone. The price was $69 instead of $39. It comes with no screen protector (but they'll add one for and extra $40) and the rubber protective case is now a cheap plastic. So for $110 I get an product inferior to the last one I paid $40 for. Otterbox has a good rep and a recognizable brand but the quality of the products has tanked. I'll very likely to return this one. I can get a cheap plastic version that is comparable without the Otter name for $20 and get the same quality. Very disappointed in the new Otterbox products.

Good Protection

Happy with my purchase. The screen has a generous lip protecting it. The camera protection seems less than ideal, but I haven?t experienced any problems thus far. MagSafe works perfect.
