The original Otterbox I bought for my iPhone 7 years ago survived getting run over by a car, with only a cracked screen. I?ve also dropped this darn thing about a thousand times. After all the corners broke off, it was time for a new one.

Otter box does not give a full refund . I will never own another one again. I have found other boxes that are as good if not better.

The phone was dropped from waist height on concrete and didn't receive damage, however the hard plastic component of the case cracked in half. Lesser cases would likely have cracked as well. BUT... I paid more for the OtterBox under the assumption that it was a tougher case and could handle being dropped without compromising the case's integrity. I will likely go with a cheaper company next time.

I had a completely sealed case before, and it was nice but more protection than I need. I don’t intentionally take my phone under water. I like this case because it has no screen cover, and I can feel the beautiful smooth screen of my phone. It does have rubber covers for the power input and the headphone jack, so there is some water protection, but those covers are very quick and easy to pop open. So far, I love it, and it is pretty.

I bought this a few weeks ago. It fits snugly in my phone - a perfect fit. Seems like it's very good protection (I haven't dropped it yet). I have had an Otterbox before and it performed really well. Love the glacier and grey color. Better thAn boring black. Overall, very happy with my purchase!

I've been using Otterbox since iPhone 3, and case quality is still great. It's their business practices that are tanking. Icons suggested built-in screen protector, so I went with this instead of my usual Defender. When I got it, I was surprised, because the screen protector is an add-on that attracted too much dust (I have since scoured the website and found a single sentence that indicates this type of screen protector, but I trusted that the icon was the same one used by the Defender series). I thought "I'll just return it." Then I was asked to pay shipping back. At this point I'm just going to keep it because shipping costs have made it too expensive to return. As another example, the rag that used to come with these cases used to be nice, big, and plush. The one that came with this was a square inch of tissue-thin fabric. And they seem to have discontinued even sending them with the 7 and up.

This otterbox is a winner! It is sturdy enough for my more then my daily drops. While I do not submirt the phone, this cover gives me time enough to wipe off water dribbles that somehow make it to the cover of the phone. Wipe it off. Ready to go. Arrived on time. Took a nudge to put together. ( good b/c means good fit.) happy altogether!

While buying a $600 or more device you want to protect it the best you can, especially in the hands of younger children. I have had my Commuter Series Case since I bought my iPhone 6s plus. Even before this phone I had other OtterBox cases in the past. I have dropped my phone numerous times over asphalt, gravel, bark dust, sand, and other extreme conditions. This case has lasted longer than I had thought but I know think that this case will soon outlive the phone. Durability:The durability of the commuter series OtterBox for the iPhone 6s Plus is rigid enough to handle often drops or spills. I have been using the case for a year and a half and the bottom corner of the case broke off. With regards to dropping my phone over 100 times this case is rather indestructible. The only down side to the case would be the bottom charging port plug and microphone broke off within four months. Price: The price of the Black Commuter Series OtterBox comes in for $44.95. Even though this isn't the most durable case they make, it is rather expensive for a “Commuter Case.” Warranty: The warranty is what most people buy this case for. OtterBox certifies all cases with their drop protection. Which is whether you run over the case, drop it from a substantial height OtterBox will replace your phone if it brakes while encased in one of their style cases. Style: I chose the Commuter Case due to the sleek and rather tight fitting case. I know I didn’t want something large and bulky but I wanted to protect my expensive device. This case is the best of both worlds. The case is more difficult to put on the phone because of the two piece design but that gives you reassurance that it will get the job done well. Weight: The overall weight added to the phone is negligible. Also with the added thickness you would think the phone would gain an abundance of weight which is the opposite.

This is a perfect case. Slips right into your pocket and when it's time to take out of pocket, it Comes out with ease. I always hated that the rubber part of a case would rub against the pocket liner in pants causing the pocket liner to come out as well. Not with this case!!! Dry happy with purchase.

Looks good, fairly easy to fit and install. Like the color combo, but the outer-shell is very slippery. Needs some texture to grip it better. I know it was made to slip into a pocket but perhaps a bit to slippery. That's why the 3 stars. Plus I haven't owned it long enough to see how tough it is! I wish manufacturers wouldn't ask for reviews after only owning their product for a few weeks.

I got this as a replacement to the older model, but sadly, it's about the same if not worse than before. It protects but the hole in the back to show the logo is superfluous at best.
