The robust case your playbook needs...
Overall, the product corresponds to my expectations. It's just as it is described.
It's not slick by any means, and looks bulky, but I didn't buy it for the looks, but for the protection it offers. Actually, I like the sturdy look, solid build, and it's not that ugly after all!
The only two things that bothers me a bit and that I didn't see covered well by the numerous reviews are:
- the plastic film that protects the screen is sturdy, but has a "plactic-y" feel to it, and is too thick to allow using a stylus. I tried a Wacom Bamboo Stylus, and it won't register.
(probably will have to remove it and replace it with some other screen protectors... or find a stylus that's way closer to a finger for the capacistive screen's sensitivity)
- when holding the device, the rubberish external protection gets out of place... really annoying to have to re-fit it back in its position. I hope that the rubber won't wear out prematurely by having to press on the edge to put it back in place.
Apart from that, I like the case. It does what it claims it does. No regrets whatsoever.
