Bought because I'm in construction. Great solid case. However, very disappointed in the fact I can't find a glass screen protector that the case won't crack due to such small tolerances and that it doesn't come with a protector of some sort. I have a Google pixel 2xL

I like the color (orchid, though there weren't many options. I wouldn't usually choose a defender case because they are huge and the Pixel 2 XL is also huge, but after I cracked my screen the first time I went for hard core protection. I trust Otterbox to protect it. I've never had a damaged phone with an Otterbox, but some lessons are learned the hard way.

I just bought my case and it's a great case, it's well made, perfect fit for my phone and feels good in my hand. The buttons work well through the case.

Robust but not too bulky, probably will never use the belt clip attachment and slightly dissatisfied thatitdoes not come with a screen protector

I've had two other otterboxes for previous phones and I loved them. I work in theater production (back stage so I'm always worried about dropping my phone or putting it down on a surface that will damage it. Those cases felt a little bulky but I grew acustom to them. THIS CASE however is amazing. All the see protection with minimal bulk. The case feels great with a good grip. It's not the slimist case out there but it feels like it can take a beating. I'm going to be adding a tempered glass screen protector to it soon, as this case does not have a built in protector. I'm ok with that. The built in one always gathered saw dust and dirt from my pockets/work-environment.

This case really defends my phone! I personally like that it doesn't have a built in screen because I already have a great screen protector. I was worried that the buttons were going to be really hard to push, as some reviwers have said, but mine weren't at all. I've dropped my phone 5 times with it already and there isn't a scratch on my phone or the case. Definitely worth the money!

The case is built well and fix the phone perfectly. My only complaint is when you clip it to the belt clip it is only one direction you cannot flip the phone over and go to the other side

I've been using OtterBox covers for my last 3 phones. I ordered this one for my Pixel 2 XL and am very happy with it. Only downside, I wasn't paying attention and got the model with no screen cover. Live & learn.

I bought the case to replace the Google fabric shell case I had originally purchased after the phone fell three feet and cracked the screen. I've used the defender series for previous phones and wish I'd just stayed with it. This defender has a hard plastic shell around the edges of the phone with a thick outer glove that raises above the screen surface - even a flat fall face down is going to strike the case instead the screen. It adds bulk to the phone, but it's actually made it easier to use since my palm isn't resting resting right on the edge of the screen when I hold the phone in one hand. I haven't done any drop testing (and hopefully I never will) but if it does fall, I don't think I'm going to find better protection.

I bought this a few weeks ago. I love the color, and Otterbox has always been great. Unfortunately, this version has one small problem. The case is slightly too big, or designed wrong. On the right side, the buttons are a little hard to press, and you can hear the plastic squeaking as it flexes against the phone.

Extremely bulky; phone is massive alone and now good luck finding a pocket to fit this. However it is a tank, I have no worries with dropping my phone buttons are responsive and has a wonderful guide to the finger print sensor

Although it is a bit on the expensive side, it is probably the best fitting and best made case available. My only criticism would be that the volume down button is not accessible when fitted in the outter case, which I'm surprised made it past the design team.

I have bought an OtterBox Case for the last three phones I have had and they are wonderful. It is like buying insurance. In some ways better than buying insurance. It also makes the phone more substantial and easier to hold. That being said, I know I am going to drop it. Over the years I have dropped my phone many times on all kinds of surfaces without ever damaging it. Enough said.

Case itself is a solid performer. Fairly lightweight for the protection it gives. Like the design choice of not having a screen protector to allow the user to select their own if any without having to rip it out. Holster doesn’t allow the phone to be held in either dir croon, but this is more because of the phones button placement low on the side of the phone. Clip on the holster broke easily the first day when the holster caught on something in passing. Third different phone I’ve had this happen with. Seems to be a weak point in the design accentuated by the increasing size of phones causing more pressure on the clip from longer levers. Purchased a different holster from amazon which seems to be holding up better.

I bought this case because I was going on vacation and, well, I tend to be "incident prone". I knew we'd be very active and knew that my new phone would surely die if I didn't protect it. My phone was dropped on rocks many times. It got wet many times. But this case kept it perfectly safe. That being said, I wouldn't submerge my phone even with this awesome case. PS, love the color!
