For starters, it takes about five hours and an act of God to wrangle this on the device. Then, if your device isn't perfectly aligned, kiss your ability to use your volume buttons goodbye. Or rather, you can use the up but not the down. I bought this, naively thinking that the two angles would be fine. I failed to take into account that it has to be on a surface with zero incline or the iPad falls out of the base. I've resorted to using poster putty so I can angle it a bit without it falling. I can't count the number of times I've had to pick up off the floor. I guess it didn't shatter, though, so there's that. If you enjoy angst, blistered fingers, and looking at your device from only two angles while it's sitting on a table, this is perfect for you.

I'm a private pilot, and was looking for a case that would keep my ipad mini safe in pretty rough conditions. This fits the bill even more than expected, with the front, sides, and back fully covered. I was also able to add some velcro to it, so it sticks right onto my kneeboard.

This is my 2nd Otterbox case. I bought them both after the first cases failed. My first was for an older iPhone this one for an iPad. The case is sturdy gives good access and has some nice features such as the rests which enable easy reading and typing. I have become an Otterbox fan.

I love the case as far as protection goes, I just am not impressed with the stand part. If you use it to cover the screen the whole thing is bomb proof but if you want a stand, it is precarious.

Very good protection for the iPad mini to be used with disabled kids. Only problem is the buttons for volume and other things and not really accessible

Otter box has protected my devices since I purchased my very first IPhone and iPad more than 10 years ago. I drop my devices at least daily and spill liquids on periodically. I have never had a failure of my devices.

I am so happy I went for quality with Otterbox and purchased from this particular seller. I was impressed to get an email saying it had shipped as soon as I purchased it! It is authentic, fits perfectly and this was the only seller (including Amazon) who had the Otterbox that I trusted in ANY color option for my older Apple product. This was hard to find! I like a good deal but I splurge for quality and reliability. I searched other products, stores and sellers and wanted to save your time and put others at ease who are like me It arrived on time, was easily assembled and can be charged while in the case. (This is key for my sanity and mom life with an irresponsible/clumsy 10 year old tween and a curious/destructive 17 month old toddler (both boys). I felt skeptical of all other kids cases but was trying to spend less money. I spent time reading many reviews of other popular colored foamy handled cases but decided finally that Otterbox has never let me down, is the only one I trust and it’s 100% worth it. I feel the same after making the purchase. My iPhone 5 and my iPhone 6S have been in Otterboxes for 5 years have had many drops with absolutely no issues. They work, they last, and will protect my expensive Apple products. At $125 and up (plus sending off your phone for 10 days+) to have Apple fix your screen it is absolutely worth the $$$ and this seller has a very good price. Go buy now, don’t think twice! :)

Bought this case to replace my old case which the rubber sides started to stretch due to age. So far pleasant experience. Hope it will last long n i do not need to change to a new case that soon compared to my previous one. A great buy

Honestly, I was happy to order and receive the Otterbox Defender, and appreciate its timely delivery. To be perfectly candid however, I have had a change of heart regarding protection for my iPad mini. I ordered an integrated keyboard/protective case to use instead.

I’m happy with my purchase overall. I just noticed a single problem. The charging port is covered by a thick rubber. I feel like it might loosen/damage the cable and charging port over time because of the rubber’s pressure trying to cover up the port. Tempted to cut it though.

I bought this for my 6 year olds iPad and it protects her tech very well! My only complaint is that when the optional kickstand is attached you cannot open the access to charge it. I feel like that’s a flaw but otherwise we really love it!

Bought this for my autistic sons ipad 2 years ago. In that time he has angrily thrown his ipad as hard as he could countless times. His ipad in this case has taken this beating without missing a beat. I cannot believe it still works flawlessly and i can only ascribe this to this case
