Wireless charging review

Charged up the spare mag charger unit and as soon as i put my phone in it, it says charging but then less than a minute later it stops charging and the lights just flash on the unit.

Does not work well with magsafe case.

Battery works great plugged in.... the magsafe case has issues with this charger. Have to try multiple times to try to get it aligned. My wife's magnetic charger auto aligned and has no issue with my case....oh well.

Doesnt work as expected

Phone has to be in and exact spot to charge and I have yet to figure that spot out. 9 out of 10x it will start charging or act as if it is charging then the light will blink and not charge. For the price of it and it being and otterbox item I expected much better.

Do not recommend

With a case on they hardly want to connect and start charging. Most of the time I set my phone on it and have to move my phone around for 5 mins just to get it to start.

Charger doesn't hold much

The charging base is great. It's easy to find the center to charge my Samsung Galaxy phone, that has an Otterbox Defender Case, and also my Galaxy buds. I took off 2 stars because I was a bit disappointed in the charger "puck". Even at full charge, it only charged my phone from 20% to 73%. I was hoping it would at least charge it to 85%. Plus, it's a bit heavy, but I had expected it before I got it. It's nice that I can charge both the charger & my phone at the same time.

Best QI charger I bought, but, a "friend" stole the battery disk. Just have the charging base. Need more charging battery disks. Too bad Otterbein is out of stock and doesn't cover theft after purchase.

Great product... but makes annoying noise.

I love everything about this product. However, I can't use it due to a VERY annoying high frequency chirping sound that emanates from the device when a phone is charging on it. It is an unbearable noise.

I LOVE my OtterSpot!

I have been using this Charging Pad&Puck combo daily,for almost a year and couldn't be more delighted! ?? I purchased soon after receiving a new IPhone SE w/Otterbox Defender Case from my kids. Although customers have complained about "not charging " scenarios,I have not experienced ANY PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER! Just"hover" the phone/case over the puck for a few seconds,and the phone chimes&lights up to let you know that charging has commenced. Easy?even for a 66 year old Luddite!

Bad fit for iPhone 14 ProMax

I have a 14ProMax. Puck is ok for emergency charge on the go but will not fully charge my phone when completely dead. The main and puck chargers are not mag safe and have to finesse them to a perfect angle to receive a charge because of the phones camera lenses housing. . Not worth the money if you are expecting ease of use or want a full charge from the puck. OtrerBox please ?? make a MagSafe compatible puck.

OK but not what I expected

This is not a fast charger. The standalone puck does not hold a charge long and will not fully charge a phone. The wired puck emits a really high pitch sound. It is ok for an overnight charger but is not what I expected from OtterBox.

Very good, reliable, great quality

Works really well, very convenient and it has been reliable for a couple of years now. I read some of the 1-star reviews and those are the same people and write a 1-star Yelp reviews about their upside down pumpkin latte with with almond milk. You do need to make sure the phone picks up charge, not a big deal.

Lame. Doesn't work consistently. Like a lot of other reviews, you have to find the exact right spot, and then it often just stops charging. Not impressed. Then I tried to do the online return from my order history and it kept telling me that my request could not be processed at this time. Not a great experience with this product. Expect better from an established company like this, but maybe they should stick to cases.
