My first Defender I had was in 2012. It was a bit bulkier and the rubber covering started deteriorating. Though it protected my phone well I had to stop using as the rubber cover was sagging eventually. 2021 I got another after checking them out at a store. I would say this is an improved product with it a lot slimmer and what looks like the soft covering is of a different material likely not to sag like my old one did. My phone looks great and with more color choices and the puck feature is an asset.

As expected Otter box cases protect your phone like a fort! Wish case came with a holster?but it?s all good. Now that holster are back in stock for IPhone 11. I just ordered ( 7/25/21 my free holster with the coupon that came with the case.

I bought this case well over a month ago and I am happy that I did. The pop socket that is built in to the case is very convenient and easy to use. The case may seem bulky at first but once you use start using it you will quickly like the protection and functionality that the case offers.

The case is fine, as we?ve had numerous cases over the years. I?ve not had the glass protector long enough to know if it?s going to work or not. The pop up button on the back does not work as a stand whatsoever, no matter which side or angle you try to use it. I rarely use it to do one handed reading or texts. Disappointed in that feature.

I think I wrote an initial good review of the Defender Pop case, but wow, do I take that review back. At first, I LOVED my Defender Pop case, but it didn't take long for me to grow disappointed in the design flaws. The Pop is fantastic to help small hands hold onto these large phones, but, as others have pointed out, the Pop doesn't stay stable when actually placed on surfaces. It "pops" out of place easily, causing the phone to flop around, instead of remaining at a stable angle. BUT WORST OF ALL is that the plastic lip cracks on the back of the case where the Pop clicks into it. In only one year, I've had two Defender Pop cases crack in the same place, where the Pop clicks into the plastic "lip" on the back of the case. The crack then, predictably, slowly and steadily goes down the rest of the case. Otterbox replaced the first cracked case, but now I need a third case, and I do NOT want a third shoddy case of the same design, not even if they send it to me free under the warranty. I'm going back to the Defender without Pop until and unless Otterbox streamlines and fortifies its Defender Pop design.

I love the case. I?ve always felt more comfortable with otterbox. It?s so sturdy I feel like I can throw it against the wall without a panic attack. I?d recommend this to anyone. They're are two reasons for the 4 stars. One- it?s more difficult to charge your phone using a wireless charger with these. It works if you take the pop up part off. The second- is there were no instructions. I?m not the brightest crayon in the box so I expected there to be something to tell me how to work this complicated thing. I was sitting there for 20 mins before I decided to get on YouTube. I saw a video of a man putting it together and taking it apart. So I followed his steps. Thanks goodness for that bc I almost returned it thinking my phone was too big and size of the case wasn't actual to phone. After reading some reviews I?m not the only one that was stuck on that part with the same mindset of the size of the case. Aside from that this is a winner!

We bought new iPhone 11's last year, and wanted protection for them. Because of OtterBox prices, and not having built-in screen protection, we decided to use other brand cases, (3 different brands. My experience with OtterBox was from the Defender cases we purchased for our iPhone 6's. Loved those cases. Because of the design of the cases we seldom dropped our iPhone 6's. So using those other cases with the iPhone 11's we honestly dropped the phones more than ever within the first few months of owning them. They would slip out of our finger's because there was no grip. So we came back to the OtterBox cases, added screen protection, and were totally satisfied with the decision. My wife owns the Pop Defender Series Case, and I have the Defender Pro. Great cases, but a little pricey. Both cases need supplemental screen protection. (Still don't understand why they couldn't have the built-in screen protection). So the Prodigal Family returned to OtterBox, and have no regrets. (By the way, our old OtterBox iPhone 6 cases are still being used by other family members going on 7 years now).

I should have read the reviews before purchasing. Yes, this thing is built like a tank, but the pop can't handle the weight of a tank. I tried every manner of popping, partial popping, angled popping, camera side down or up. If you get the angle just right (top of the pop is in, bottom of pop is out), it will stay up. Barely. It's like balancing while leaning back in a chair. Precarious.

I ordered my otterbox and pop socket for the first time on the website and the process was easy and my case was exactly what I wanted. The prices were even cheaper than Amazon and other places.

Annoying to charge because the flap that covers charging area makes it difficult to put on my charging stand. Maybe just not have a flap there at all. I wish it came with a built in screen protector and more colors. But the flap area annoys me so much I won?t repurchase at this time but continue to use until it gets worn out as I need the defender type protection. But I think definitely other brands that will do the job next time.

Never thought I'd get into the Pop feature but it helps a ton! Since I have been working from home, the pop feature facilitates data entry into my phone. Dropped it a couple of times in the driveway from about 3' high = no damages to my iPhone 11 and no damages or scuffs on the case.

I bought the Pop Defender Case for my new phone about three weeks ago. I'm a little disappointed with the pop handle. I love the defender but the pop-up doesn't allow the phone to lay flat if you need both hands. I wouldn't purchase it again.

I bought this for my teen. We loved the built in pop of our previous symmetry case. This one is so heavy that the pop is unable to prop it up. Also so bulky that it doesn’t fit in his phone stand.

The Defender provides great protection as well as stability when handling it. I have small hands and can hold my iPhone 11 securely and the added pop, I can take photos and videos with one hand which is great.

It’s good case. I had this same type of case for my old iPhone 7. I kind of wished it came with a belt holster but the Defender case + Popsocket does NOT unfortunately. (I had to purchase it separately. It also doesn’t come with a built-in screen protector; you also have to buy separately, unfortunately. But it DOES come with an extra Poptop of your choice. This is the one I got.

The heavy duty amount of protection is exactly what I wanted for such an expensive phone and case. However, I paid extra for the pop socket feature vs the other case version, and the case is too heavy to use the pop socket as a prop like I usually do. If I had a plain case and my own pop socket, I could adjust for the weight. Since this is built in, I'm a little annoyed. But over all, I am happy with the purchase.

The defender works well as a case bit is very bulky and negates the slim features of the iPhone 11. Also, the case arrived with NO instructions on how to place the iPhone in the case - a serious ommission whicould have resulted in damage to the iphone. I had to go on line to find a user prepared you tube instruction. Not good enough at this price! At the very least reference to an Otterbox prepared video instruction would be expected. Also I could not find a way to let Otterbox know about this problem!

I’ve gone through many defender cases in the past 10 years or so. I love the built in popsocket. The case is fits just like the old defenders but better because they’re thinner & lighter but still offer the famous defender drop protection. I’m 65 years old and have been experiencing arthritic conditions in my hands. The popsocket helps me keep a grip on the phone. I have confidence that the phone will stay secure in my hands.
