OtterBox Utility Series Latch II Case for 10" Tablets

I do construction inspections. I carry the iPad everywhere on the construction site. I have an 11? iPad Pro I bought new in July 2019. I got the Defender and the Latch II. The Latch II is made for the 10? iPad which means you have to stretch the corner elastics a bit farther to work on the 11? iPad. One year later, the Latch II elastic broke. I got a new one. One year later, the elastic broke. This review is for my 3rd Latch II I just installed and it works perfect. I expect this will break also. I wish the Defender cover/stand would work better as a stand with the Latch II attached. In the end, there is a need for improvement but it?s the best out there. I only buy Otterbox Defenders for my phones and iPads. I?ve never had a single device break yet.

I bought this case about two weeks ago and my first impression was this should be good. Then using it I noticed the one corner support pushes down on the button and effect the performance of my IPad.

I bought this for my son for his device that he uses for his autism it has been really good and I really like the straps in the handles that he he can use to hold his devices I buy another one if I have to

I am an appraiser. I use this everyday for inspections. It is the perfect accessory for what I do with the lanyard around my neck so I have my hands free.

This is the second unit in 4 years. While a terrific product when it’s new the elastic corners wear very fast. I have had to substitute elastic bands in the field on one of the units. I was able to return one to my office before the second one broke. My current utility latch was purchased by myself, only so I can hold Otter box accountable when it fails next year as I know they will replace it.

I spent much time researching for a product to assist in carrying my IPad. I understand the comments about the rubber breaking after assembling my carrier. Thus far Find this exactly what I was looking for. I own the Otterbox/Defender for my other IPad and Iphone. Love and trust the product and it’s name.

I have an old iPad2, so I bought this being a little unsure if it'd fit and work right, but it's awesome. Really comfortable to hold in my hand with the handle on the back, and I love that the strap case doubles as a way to prop up the iPad. Highly recommend.

I purchased the Latch for my Samsung Tab S4. Straps keep it secure, however the one strap covers the "on" button. This causes the tablet go into screen saver mode. Additionally, the rotating handle needs to be mounted at a different angle. Very awkward to hold with left hand in portrait mode. I hope that when the Defender case comes out for this tablet it will help with the button problem. Otherwise the Latch is useless for me.

We use outside in heat and the corner straps keep breaking. The good thing is your replacement policy is excellent. Even though they don’t last long for us I still purchase this item because of the replacement. I have 5 iPads which we rotate use, so a holder usually lasts 2 months. I usually have one or two on hand to replace right away when they break. You need to develop replacement corner straps so I could just replace that part. On one iPad I used a ponytail elastic band so I didn’t have to call you to replace it.

One of my gentlemen is a bit larger and we had to let the strap completely out. that is the only thing that is a bit concerning. I know it would not be long enough for a very large man.

I bought this product a month a go. It took two weeks to get to me and after the 3rd use the bag accessory hook broke. Please see attached. Other than this issue the product is great. I l really like how you can have a full grasp of the tablet and not have to cover your screen with your had. We use ours a lot in job sites for review of progress and they work great. I would not get the extra accessory if i buy another one in the future.

Everything about this product is great except for one thing.... the rubber bands that secure the iPad to the unit are not replaceable when they wear out - The unit is otherwise virtually indestructible

I've only been using it everyday for a couple of weeks now and it has met my expectations. I am still skeptical about the rubber loops for the corners and hope they won't break. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase.

I purchased this to carry my IPad Pro 10”. Works great with just 1 minor flaw. It would be nice if it had a place to put the Apple Pencil. Other than that provides good support and access to the IPad

The Outter Utility Series Latch II 10 Inch doesn't fit my IPad Mini the way it should. I was climbing down a ladder today from 30' up and I heard something hit the ground. It was my IPad Mini. It slipped out of the Outter Latch. Ever since I got the Outter Latch a few days ago I've noticed it doesn't fit well. I'm constanly having to adjust it so the ears are over the corners of the IPad. The last Outter Latch I had fit properly but the rubber ears were too thin and kept breaking hince made me have to buy another.

This product works the best for our needs but it has a design flaw that makes it break over time. The rubber straps are too thin where they connect to the nylon straps on each corner. The ten I ordered are just replacement for latches that have failed on one or multiple corners.

Even with a very grippy OtterBox Defender Case (iPad Air case on a 5th Gen iPad the edges don't give you much space to hold. If your thumb touches the screen, your touchscreen functions don't work correctly. The Latch II solves this problem by giving you a handle on back. It is very comfortable and rotates for portrait or landscape modes. The belt clip, accessory bag, and shoulder strap are icing on the cake.

My company uses Ipads every day and it's necessary to have a carrying device like this. I love the idea but we have now purchased 2 sets of these. The rubber straps continue to break and its extremely disappointing. I wish that they could make them more durable. We need this kind of product to protect our Ipads but repurchasing over and over just isn't worth the money. I do not recommend this product.

The straps that go around the iPad appear to be material in the photo, but in reality are a thin cheap plastic that did not last a week. Don't waste your money on this product

I have used the otter box hand strap for years. It's one of the main reasons I use the otter box case. After my first one finally wore out I decided it was time for a new one. The new design is really cool, but the rubber straps keep breaking. I never had any issues with my old one...but this one has a strap break every couple of weeks.
