The Octopus Camera OctoPad works just as advertised! I use it with my GoPro Max 360 and the 106” telescopic pole. The Octopad keeps the pole secure and I can feel at ease that it won’t tip or slide. The grip on the Octopad works great on carpet, wood, tile, and other surfaces. Knowing how well it works for this use, it’s a no brainer that there are so many other uses for which it will shine! I certainly recommend it for 360 photography and video from a telescopic pole which is known to be unstable with other traditional tripods of this size. It also works well with sandbags if other stabilization is necessary!

awesome product. So far I've used it with my GoPro Hero 8 and GoPro Max with great success. It does well on inclines and in the car ---did not budge when I slammed on the brakes to test it out I would definitely recommend this product and plan to purchase more to hold components such as lights and a microphone

Does the job. Which the adjustment knobs were a little more sturdy - feels like they could easily be broken off.

Great mini tripod for low heights. It has amazing grip and the circular base makes it easier to use than tripods of the same height with the three leg base. Mounting and setting the camera angle is very quick and I can set it down anywhere without worry. Feels well build too.

Just what I needed. The first one had a manufacturing defect, but customer service sent a replacement with no hassle.

Quite a useful gadget. It lives in the camera bag with my mirrorless and on a street shoot I always seem to make use of it at least once.

A very stable base for small cameras! Great for car dash and soft surfaces like seat or back of sofa. Used it for my GoPro Hero 7 and Sony RX100 VA.

I purchased this as a fast foot for my Insta 360 ONE X. Works like a champ, but then again it's not a critical, high-risk situation that I'm using it for. I wouldn't use this for anything more than the small 360 camera. But then again, I like beefy gear.

I use this on my dashboard and window sill for great timelapses with my GoPro! Also great for holding my LED lights when I don't have a spare tripod available!

perfectly weighted for stability. Cameras easily screw on & ball head make for easy adjustments, especially on uneven surfaces like rocks .

Having used just about every type and design of tabletop tripod out there, I can unreservedly give this props for stability, ease of use and rugged construction. The ball joint also is great for maximum flexibility. Only negative is the rubber washer on the ball joint is easy to lose since it simply fits over the stud without any restraint.

Disclaimer: Ok, I am not a camera enthusiast and bought this mainly for putting in the car and fixing a phone mount to it. This is not a bean bag type support that can be placed on the dash of a car. It is heavy yes, but the bottom of it is smooth and flat which will allow for it to slide from the top of a dashboard even on soft braking. Also to note is that if your application is for something that involves not using the screw at the other end of the ball, it will be tough to use it. I bought it in the hope that an extension accessory will be included, but it is not. What you see in the picture is what you will get. The ball may be standard camera application size, but is not the same of the size that most phone mounts use such as iottie. Additionally you will not be able to completely make the inner circle flat after removing the ball and mount because a screw will stick out from the bottom. This will prevent putting a suction cup onto this. Again this review is for those who want to use this for purpose other than camera mounting. I review because the manufacturer advertises this as multi-use including for mounting phones which it really us not suited for.

If you need to record footage while you are driving and don't want to use a suction cup this is for you! It is heavy enough to hold a GoPro and not move around. Works great!!!

I really like this tripod, so useful and practical but it doesn't come with all the accessories that are shown in the product photos, so no phone holder or GoPro mount. It only comes with what the very first picture shows. Just a heads up.

This is a great perch for my Foscam security camera. Solid, perfect height to get over window casement.

Purchased with the idea of holding led display for my macro photography and it works great. The ball head that comes with it made adjusting the flash easy.

I can use this to hold my phone on the dashboard of my car. I also use it to hold my Theta 360 camera and can attach short extension rods to elevate the camera safely as the support base is heavy - heavier than the little legs on a table top tripod that can tip over if too top heavy.

I thought I was buying a bean bag sort of support with a standard connector in the middle. This is, sort of. The top is canvas with what feels like a bean bag circle but it's mounted to a fixed plate underneath so it's not flexible at all like you might think looking at the picture. Fine if you just want to place this somewhere on a flat surface but a mini tripod would be more useful. The bottom is made out of a rubbery, non-stick material but I've seen this sort of material before. Totally non-durable. If it cracks or cuts because of the surface you put it on or it dries out and cracks, it will start flaking off and slowly disintegrate into pieces. Think of the material used in a really cheap mouse pad. Also it's unclear if the filler material is sown in with the canvas or just covered over with the rubber and can leak out. stupid, stupid design That's probably why they ship it with a paper cover on the bottom which you have to remove before using. The instructions are really comical too.

This is a unique alternative to standard mini-tripods. It's thoughtfully designed, made with high quality materials, and works well in situations where a min-tripod may not have enough stability. A nice addition to your kit.

The OctoPad is a completely new form concept for support equipment. It is a patent pending, weighted non-slip mat design offering far superior stability to that of existing mini tripods and suction cup supports. The OctoPad is the revolutionary first product from Octopus.Camera. It is a universal high stability support base incorporating a male 1/4-20 inch threaded bolt and custom designed, large capacity removable photographic ball head also with an adjustable 1/4-20 inch male threaded bolt connection interface.
The OctoPad solves the three major complaints about these tripods and suction cup devices:
Doesn't tip over- or collapse under weight
Doesn't slip or slide- including on uneven or smooth surfaces
Doesn't lose suction- or come suddenly unattached
High-Force Ball Head
Clamps securely under all conditions with high wear resistance.
Standard 1/4-20 Bolt
Universal for attaching your own accessories.
Anti-Skid Base
Resistant to tipping or sliding under movement or vibration.
Cable Strap
Tuck cables under to keep them managed and safe from damage.
Clip Grommet
Use with carabiner or lanyard to secure your OctoPad.
