Questions & Answers

phillip m : the vision in each eye is different does this unit have diopter adjustment?BRAD A : Yes, the right eye piece adjusts.
fatema z : Will they be good as a starter pair for an astronomy enthusiast?Stanley P : It seems to be the general consensus nowadays that the 10x50s have replaced the good ol' 7x50 night glass as the ideal all-around beginners astro bin. Philip S. Harrington in his great "Touring the Universe Through Binoculars", however, specifically cites the trusty Porro 7x50s as the "All around best choice."Stanley P : Absolutely! Binoculars, offering a much greater width of field, even compared to the faster "richest field telescopes", not to mention the ease of portability and set-up, add up to these wonderfully useful instruments as natural "starters" because, additionally, if one decides not to persue astronomy, one isn't stuck with a telescope with basically only one purpose: you can employ them for birdwatching, seashore use, scenery and all varieties of other nature endeavors. I enjoy my smaller configurations to take to the zoo, for example, where many onlookers remark how they had wished they had brought their own pair also. And if you have distant mountains wherever you live, it's a thrill to ponder those peaks. In the long and the short of it, you get the idea by now, so your question has been exhaustively answered!ALLEN L : I've never used binoculars for star-gazing. For use as a starter pair, I would guess that they would be a reasonable choice.KENNETH D : probably, can get larger (more expensive) as knowledge of stars and enthusiasm grows. do not need motor drive starting out, it gets very costly as you progress.MR. RICHARD A : I bought them for marine use - normally astronomy viewers buy telescopes with a motor drive synced to a computer program that requires entering your Lat Long position.HENRY F : To be honest I do not feel they are all that good. The price is good but the lenses leave a lot to be desired.SARA P : Yes, they would be a good pair for a nice price. Just note, they are large size.
Shopper : Are these binoculars brand new?RICHARD F : Yes, they were sent new and in the packaging. We ordered 6 pair for our field staff. We are happy with them. Well worth the price for the quality.ELIZABETH S : Mine were.Narcisa E : Yes
