I've been a phone photographer up till now and have been using Printique to create photobooks of our exploits. The books have been great, but I learned that the denser the photo, the nicer book. So, I wanted to get a "real" camera that we could take on trips without exceeding our luggage allowance. I opted to go the Micro 4/3 route as that's what it was designed for - high quality photos without massive weight. We opted for this lens due to its wide focal length and low f stop. I love the results. First time in my life that I can honestly say I've taken a great photo. My partner and I are amazed by the visual wonder of its photos compared to what we could take with the latest and greatest iPhone. Can't wait to go on a trip and create a Printique photobook.

If you're seeking a compact, high-performance zoom lens, the M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO Lens for Micro Four Thirds is an exceptional choice. This black lens, bundled with Hoya 77mm UV and CPL filters, is a versatile addition to any photographer's kit.
Engineered with a premium metal construction and professional-grade lens elements, the M.Zuiko 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO lens offers a 35mm equivalent focal length of 80-300mm. Despite its robust build, it remains lightweight at just 1.67 lbs, making it an ideal companion for on-the-go photography.
This lens is renowned for its super-sharp edge-to-edge image quality, thanks to its innovative Dual VCM (Voice Coil Motor) autofocus mechanism - the world's first of its kind. By separating the focusing mechanism into two lens groups, each controlled by individual linear drive motors, it ensures rapid, nearly friction-free, and incredibly quiet autofocus performance.
Constructed with 16 elements in 10 groups, this lens incorporates Olympus ZERO-coated HD, ED, EDA, and, for the first time in an M.ZUIKO lens, Super EDA glass. This advanced design significantly reduces chromatic aberration, ghosting, and flares, ensuring crisp, clear images. The fixed f2.8 aperture allows for sharp image capture across the entire zoom range, even in low-light conditions.
Designed for durability, the M.Zuiko 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO lens is fully sealed with 11 separate weatherproof seals, providing reliable protection against moisture and dust. This makes it a reliable choice for shooting in challenging weather conditions.
Despite its powerful features, this lens maintains a constant 6.2-inch length, thanks to its internal lens movement. Paired with an OM-D or PEN camera body, it creates a stable shooting platform. The lens also features a programmable L-Fn function button on the barrel for easy access to settings adjustments, and a Manual Focus Clutch mechanism for instant switching between auto and manual focus.
For extended reach, a 1.4x teleconverter is available that extends the focal length to an impressive 210mm (35mm equivalent of 420mm). Additionally, a ZUIKO protective filter featuring Olympus' renowned ZERO coating technology can be added for enhanced lens protection.
The bundled lens hood is cleverly designed to collapse back onto the lens for convenient storage. When extended, its locking mechanism can fully support the weight of the lens and camera body. To further protect your investment, a lens pouch is included to safeguard against potential dings and scratches.
In conclusion, the M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO Lens for Micro Four Thirds, bundled with Hoya 77mm UV and CPL filters, is a compact, high-performance, and durable choice for photographers seeking superior image quality and versatility.
