Questions & Answers

Katie P : How well does the Olympus 8x25 WP II work with glasses?MIKE S : They have a cup around the eyepieces. If you fold that cup down they work well with glasses. I use them with and without my glasses and they are fine either way.JENNIFER H : They don't work well with glasses. I always take my glasses off to use them. I use these binocs to look at frescoed ceilings when I travel or to read distant road signs when I am in the car (in other words -- only occasionally and when I am willing to trade ease of use for ease of carrying). I use bulkier binocs for birding with my glasses on.
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?KENJI I : overall usability and value proposition.

Olympus 8x25 WP bino

Very compact and light weight. Optics are clear and bright, the green rubber coating is very nice. The diopter ring is rather stiff so it stays put once adjusted, the center focus knob is a little sensitive.

Great binocs for bird watching

I bought these for my daughter as we always have a steady and varied flow of suburban wildlife going through our backyard. All types of birds and small mammals, both wild and domesticated. These binoculars are great for viewing all of these creatures. Zoom is very smooth and allows a wide field of view range. The images are clear, vibrant and detailed. They are easily adjustable to accommodate my daughter's small face and my larger face. They are the perfect weight for her, while being substantial enough to impart the feel of a quality product. The waterproof feature is great as well as we have been out in the woods and been caught in a surprise rain shower. Very happy with the binoculars and looking forward to years of use.

A strong product

As soon as I handed the newly-arrived Olympus Roamer 8X25 RC II WP binoculars to my wife and she looked through them she commented on how sharp the subject is. We have until now concentrated on Nikon binoculars, but neither of our two existing pairs of compact Nikons are easy to use. Their sole positive characteristic is that they are light, but they are hard to focus, not especially sharp, and have extremely narrow fields of view. These Olympus binos overcome all of those disadvantages and are waterproof on top of it all. They are so good that the day after we received the first pair I ordered a second pair.

The Olympus 8x25 WP II Binocular (Purple) is more than up to any task you care to throw at them; thanks to a body that is not only waterproofed to withstand inclement elements - hence the 'WP' suffix - but additionally features a rubber coated finish to provide a more robust grip and prevent unwanted slippage in the heat of the action.

While being designed to cope with the rigors of outdoor life, the porro prism binocular design is very portable too. The binocular is not only slender, but it can also be folded for easy transportation. The result is a stylish and flexible binocular ready for any eventuality.
