Shopper : Hi,
Looking to add to my set up. What is the more powerful scope for larger clearer images of Solar System objects, the Celestron C9'25 or the 180 MAK?
ThanksCHRISTOPHER P : The 9.25 would be better IMO. They are both quality scopes. The c 9.25 at almost 2 inches more aperture should also be more brighter.ROBERT T : I would go with the C9.25 over a 7" MAK. The larger the aperture the greater the useful magnification allowed under good seeing conditions.DEBORAH H : If your mount can support it I would suggest the larger aperture Celestron C9'25.
Larger aperture will collect more light.BRADLEY S : I'm so sorry I can't help you; I bought this as a gift for a very good friend (wedding present; a few of us chipped in). At the time I googled/researched it and it seemed like a great scope for the price, but I know very little about astronomy and I did the research for it over a year ago, so I don't have much to contribute. Sorry!
