I was so excited when i got this product.  The concept is great and the quality appears very good. However, the glass is tinted so it makes it nearly impossible to see locate anything but the brightest stars.  If you have an ultra dark site with many bright stars this might be perfect for you.  If you live in an urban area then not so much.

Difficult to see through

The base was changed that forces one to buy the dovetail bracket adapter at $17.00 each. the old bracket you could do more with.

The painted logo and name appears to rubb off easily. 

Still like the original model in that astronomers really dont need the green led, just my opinion.
