This item makes your iPhone even more versayile. Afocl astrophotography, using the correct eyepiece can be very rewarding. But it does take some practice a patience. You must be sure to experiment with the eyepiece of your choice. Start with a longer focal length EP like 32mm to get a feel for the adjustments. As you learn the little nuances of using this device it will get eadier. This is a wonderful addition to allow you to use your iPhone for lunar and planetary photoraphy. Depending on the EP you use you may have to spread the clamp a little but this in no way harms the device. You will need to adjust the distance between the camera lens and the eye lens of the EP too to get maximum coverage. Here is the first photo I took with this great little gizmo. A 32mm EP on a Questar 3.5mm Macsutov, effective mag. about 45X. I also recommend the APP 645 Pro as the camera of choice since it allows exposure control and other functions. Have fun !!!
