After I ordered a replacement, I went back and successfully super glued the one I broke back together. It was extremely sharp around the edges but came together perfectly. Still using the repaired one over a year later. Glass and neoprene are the two materials that superglue really works well with. However, I REALLY wish they would make the domes out of something other than glass that isn?t so easy to break.

Buying this is good insurance. Inevitably you probably will need to replace the protective glass dome on the Orlit Monolight. Because it is glass and somewhat exposed, it is the most likely part to break on these strobes, for example if a light stand falls over. It is easy to install if you are patient and follow instructions. I now keep an extra one handy in the event of an accident. Comes in a nice protective tube with bubble wrap. My only complaint is that, at $ it seems expensive.

when I first ordered my rovelight thispart came broken,, I had a new one sent to me but it took over 2 weeks to get this straightened out. after a few months I broke it myself (not very durable) oredered a new one and I recieved that part broken as well. Currently waiting on my replacement.
