Works fine for a while and then flashes drop out and don’t all fire consistently. Also get errors trying to control from EOS R. Can’t set from camera menu and have to move my camera off the. Tripod or shift it so I can read the top of the trigger.

This flash is a solid 3rd party Canon compatible flash that provides the utility of a much, much more expensive alternative. In my use of them, I have not experienced a mis-fire and they do what they need to do. The most appreciated feature, is the ease of integration with Orlit studio strobes, as controlled by a suitable trigger (e.g., ORLIT TR-Q6). I can use these speedlites for hair accents, with the strobes providing key lighting and fill.

Works great. Very powerful. Works well with Orlit strobe and app. Every bit as good as Canon Speedlite.

The RT-600C is the best value in speedlight that I've ever seen. It follows the Canon RT system perfectly, which means it goes straight from the box to the camera and off you go. I've shot several events with these speedlights and they simply don't let me down, and thanks to their price, I have several.

Great price on a flash for my rebel t1iWorks like advertised although only had it a few weeks. Only drawback is it takes 4 aa batteries to operate, whick makes the unit a bit heavy. I will review in a couple of months after more use.

I especially like the fact it works with the Orlit 611C transceiver. This allows me to either use it on camera, use with other canon triggers, Yunnuos while mounted on the hot shoe, all the way to using it with Orlit 250WS Mono-heads (plugin) triggered and set remotely from the 611C that I bought in another purchase. I especially like the gel holder system. It allows me to use gels easily without the need for rubber bands to get CTO or I can cut my own to the same shape and slip into the holder. Overall a well made, well thought out flash.

Looks & operates just like the Canon 600EX-RT. Works very well on by Canon 6D II.

I have three of these speedlites. I got them because I really wanted to use multiple magmod gels, but I only had one 600 ex rt ii and I couldn't afford three more of those. They do work, but all 3 overheat way too easily (usually 3 flashes at 1/1 or 1/2 power) and once they do overheat they are done for the day. Up until they overheat they work exactly the same as the 600 ex rt II that I have (which has never overheated). They work well with the canon st-e3-rt. I still use them occasionally, but I wouldn't buy them again.

Great features, but not reliable. I bought a few of these and they have let me down more than once. I now use canon RT flashes. If you cannot do a retake or don’t want to waste the brides time I suggest using canon. If reliable every shot isn’t an issue, but you want the features...

If you are reading this and the Orlit RT-600C Speedlite is still discounted take FULL ADVANTAGE of this awesome deal. I purchased my first speedlite and was upset that I didn't also get the compact battery pack bundle as well. However, I ended up purchasing it when I purchased my second speedlite from Orlit. The power of pairing both the speedlite with the battery pack is an amazing duo. The recycle time is super fast. I love the TTL abilities and its a great replacement for the Canon 600EX II-RT Speedlight. You won't be disappointed.

Haven't had a chance to use it much, but it seems to work fine, especially for the price.

This is an awesome flash for the money. I ordered a second one and will probably be ordering a third one before long. It is comparable to my Canon and charges just as quickly or maybe quicker. It doesn't overheat like the Yongnuo flashes I have tried.

There's no rival for this flashes, they are well builded, and have everything you need to find in an Speedlight. The buttons layout is easy to understand. It can be used as master command for other lights too. can shoot TTL and command moonlights in manual mode at the same time, I already tested it. great color stability, I have shot over 3000 shots with a combination of two of this + one rovelight 601 and haven't notice any variation in the color of the light.

This flash does everything my Canon 600 flash does at a fraction of the price. Even the physical layout and menu is identical. I tried it as a remote, radio triggered flash, and just like the Canon, it works perfectly. So you can spend several hundreds of dollars on the Canon unit or get the same thing with the Orlit and save a bundle. Better yet, get two or three of the Orlit flashes for a multiple remote flash layout. You can buy 3 of these for the price of one Canon 600. Highly recommended.

I ordered two of these initially. The first one was quirky. It sometimes wouldn't even turn on. The second one is working fine so far. In examining it, outwardly, I find it to be almost an exact clone of my original Canon flash. There's two big differences though. The Orlit flash has a USB port for firmware updates. The filter gel holder comes with the Orlit flash and it's identical to the one Canon supplies. The difference is that the Orlit flash will automatically set the color temperature of the filter.

I have the Orlit RT-610 strobes and love them. I figured I'd pick up this speedlite to complement the setup. The controls are clunky and I had to write in to Adorama to figure out how to fire both the RT-610's and this RT-600C speedlite simultaneously with the TR-Q6 trigger since the instructions aren't clear. After finally getting everything to work together, I used this speedlite as a simple backdrop light to blow it out for a test headshot session. About 30 minutes into the shoot it stopped firing altogether. Brand new batteries and everything was on. I took the batteries out and restarted the rig but it still wouldn't fire. Turns out it overheats really easily and just stops working. This has happened twice at two different shoots. Definitely would not recommend this RT-600 speedlite.

I have 2 Canon 580 EXII Speedlits and was going to buy a Canon 600EX-RT Speedlight. I came across with this ORLIT RT-600C TTL RT Speedlite. I bought it and gave it a try. To my surprise OORLIT works well with my 2 Canon 580s and also works well alone. I do a lot of shooting of indoor activities, i.e. meetings, children's portraits, stage plays, etc. Now, I may purchase 2 more ORLITs to replace my old Canon 580 EXIIs.

I bought this and probably won't use it except for extraneous circumstances. It fires fine but doesn't seem to have quite the overheating protection that the canon 600rtii has (the orlit takes longer to start slowing down) but my real gripe is with the zoom mechanism. The canon's is fast and silent, while the orlit's is laggy and LOUD. So if you're shooting with a 70-200 during a ceremony forget this thing.

Wedding photographer using canons 600 EXRT system. Found out after that Orlit doesn’t communicate with Yongnuo canon radio system. So don’t try and blend. I would have returned but I bought 3 rover lights as well. Of the 3 speedlights, 1 failed to power on for my second wedding... was able to survive with my true canon 600 and 2 Orlits. Syncing is an issue that I didn’t have with Yongnuo and Canon, arbitrary and takes too long with Orlit.

The light is nice and I’m happy with the purchase for the price. It seems a tad bit slower than other name brand flashes. (I use Canon.)

This flash is eally worth the Money. I lost my 580ex and I bought this as emergency replacement for my canon flash. I was really impressed with the build quality and light output. Great flash. I will recommend this to anyone.

I found this flash to be well above what I had expected . Very well built and for the price you would be foolish not to take advantage . Never go on a photo shoot without having back up flash and You will not break the bank by having two or even three of these in your kit.

The Orlit RT-600 TTL RT for Canon is an excellent flash for the money. The only flaw I have come up with is the material that the dust covers is made out of a harder plastic unlike the Canon speedlight which has a flexible rubber dust covers. I wouldn't make a purchasing decision based on that fact alone because i use the FP Flashpoint Blast Pack BP-960 with a cord attached to the flash always and the cover just stick out and gets in the way. I would recommend it to my professional colleagues in a heart beat! Very happy with this product and I plan to by more in the future.

I prefer the Canon flashes for reliability; however, they are pricey. I bought this as a spare. I've had a bit of trouble with this turning on. Typically changing the batteries works. Then I try the original batteries and they work... a bit scary if this was your primary flash.

Bought 6 of these units. Three for work and three for personal use. Love the wireless control with the transmitter. Well built and an incredible value.

saved my LIFE!!
By JARED R.
These ORLIT RT-600C Speedlites saved the day for me The only reason I’m not ordering 3 more is that I'm saving up to try an ORLIT RoveLight RT 601. TLDR? The ORLIT RT-600C is built better than the Yongnuo YN600EX-RT. I shot a runway show with two ORLIT RT-600C Speedlites, firing over 1,470 shots in a 42 minute span WITHOUT A SINGLE MISFIRE! They kept up with shooting at a fairly rapid pace, and saved the day for me! I already have one more ORLIT RT-600C on order, and am now interested in...

Orlit 600 RT is great
By MARCUS W.
I was going to get the Flashpoint R2 Canon flash, but the Orlit was on sale for ($), This is a really good flash. Well made and sturdy. I haven't tried the sync functions or pro flash options with this yet, but the few times I've used this, It worked right! The flash looks like a Cano 600rt II. My only gripe is that it is not as powerful as the 600 rt. I haven't had any of the problems mentioned in the other reviews. I have a 580ii and the Orlit was to be the backup, but the Orlit is the pri...

Thank You for Choosing ORLIT!
TTL Flash Extraordinaire.
The new ORLIT RT-600C TTL SPEEDLITE FOR CANON represents a world class breakthrough in wireless technologies! In fact, the most versatile Canon RT/ETTL wireless radio compatible speedlight, which transmits both the Canon RT radio and optical systems, can act as a master or slave unit for remote power control. The incredible amount of raw energy, delivering a GN of 182 (ft @ ISO 100 200mm) and all of remarkable innovation in these compact and lightweight flashes, make the RT System the first choice of Canon professional photographers. Team up with the new powerful and transportable ORLIT RoveLight RT 601 to reach the next evolution of monolights the bearing the RT designation. With a focus on mobile lighting, the RT compatible collection hopes to free your photography to go out and... ROVE.
Make an ORLIT RT turn. This efficient speedlight is the answer for all those loyal Canon DSLR owners longing to use the unique Canon 600EX-RT wireless radio system into a more extensive and powerful lighting solution, without losing the wireless control in which they have already invested. The flash incredibly extends the remote possibilities even further to 980ft/300m with industry benchmark interference avoidance. The ORLIT 600RT speedlight provides full ETTL-RT / Remote Manual / HSS, just like a Canon flash, with 5 Groups in 15 Channels, and a special GR Mode where each member of thegroup can be independently set to mix of Manual or TTL automation. The wireless modes are Canon RT radio and Canon ETTL IR for master or slave use. An Auto Exposure sensor located on the front of the flash, provides a non TTL option for "Ext.A" and "Ext.M" flash metering mode, preferred by many professionals. Besides Canon ETTL and manual control, there are 2 optical slave modes, and a stroboscopic mode as well. The metal shoe features a locking pin, so even if the foot is not tightened properly it will not accidentally fall off of the camera or mount. The wise layout and familiar controls make using this flash a breeze. The flashhead rotates 180 degrees in any direction and tilts over 90 degrees for any type of bounce or modifier use. The head zooms automatically or manually from 20-200mm, to ensure the necessary coverage without light spill. The built-in pull out wide angle diffuser spreads light evenly to 14mm for use with lenses wider than 24mm. The ORLIT 600RT also has a holder to place color balancing gels before the flashhead and gel color temperature sensors, automatically adjusting the cameras white balance.
Don't be afraid of the light. The ORLIT 600C RT user interface design features a clear color LCD display, simplified but extensive menu system, and generous power and function control dial, graced by soft menu touch control buttons for all options. Future technologies are firmware updated through the USB port.
HSS Mode allows shutter speeds to 1/8000 through pulsing its light between the quickest focal plane shutter gate. The monolight can regulate flash duration (t0.5), by means of the manual output, from a rich 1/800s to an action arresting 1/8000s. To really capture the split second event, the Freeze Mode achieves an additional reach to just 1/19000s while still at a color balanced 5500 degree Kelvin.
Finally! Your hot shoe mounted Canon 600EX-RT has become a remote commander to the most amazing 'Extraordinaire' wireless 600ws TTL monolight!
